The problem is that parents in California don't have a choice when it comes to what their kids learn about a majority of this stuff, nor when they learn it.

While California Education Code DOES allow parents to opt out of their children taking part in sex ed, they have no choice when it comes to schools teaching the following (codified in California regulations as specifically not sex ed):
(b) This chapter does not apply to instruction, materials, presentations, or programming that discuss gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, discrimination, harassment, bullying, intimidation, relationships, or family and do not discuss human reproductive organs and their functions.

There is always a choice. Sex ed, actually, is good.
Sex ed means you teach children that there are male and female bodies, and that each has a reproductive system, often intersecting with the urinary system. Both male and female participate in reproduction, which is how the human species multiplies and evolves. Each sex has specific organs, again, with roles also in the urinary system, endocrine system etc. The sex organs have evolved so they can facilitate the movement of spermatozoa to the female ovum.
Now add details, split in lessons, biology, anatomy, physiology, and teach children of an appropriate age (I'd say 10+) about reproduction and sex.
As you can notice, there is nothing here about faggotry, furries, trannies, fetishism of all sorts, nothing about porn, nothing about sex toys or self-love.
Nothing like that - just scientific facts.
As for the above mentioned paraphilic behaviors, we will teach them to adult medicine students... at Psychiatry courses.

Until today, I've always thought it was permissible for children to be taught things despite the objections of their parents predicated entirely on the necessity to teach evolution. It's pretty clear now that this necessity is being abused and it's really not worth it.

I'll never understand why evolution is the example materialists like to use for this. Who gives a damn if a kid learns about evolution or not? Believing or disbeliving in evolution effects so few people it's not worth worrying about. Same with flat earthers. The belief doesn't change behavior in a material way nor would it impact how you actually interact with the world unless you're in a tiny minority of scientists.

It's important for children not to entertain magical fictional bullshit on par with Santa Clause into their adulthood. They carry that level of ignorance with them and apply it to everything else. It's also why we shouldn't be teaching them this gender shit, there's no credible, properly researched scientific evidence to support it.

Creationism is stupid, but it's a lot easier for someone to deprogram themselves from it than gender ideology since it isn't being pushed EVERYWHERE. I mean I did, and it's why I don't buy into any of this nonsense or other ideological bullshit pushed by the science worship crowd like the covid scamdemic or Pfizer mRNA vaccines. It's why I believe that churches and religious schools are great institutions far better than public schools, since even if you don't believe the weird shit they often peddle, it's nothing but a mental vaccine against stupid beliefs from any side of the political spectrum. At least if you don't just invert Christianity like this society is based on.
