During the last day of Pride week, a transgender person in her 55s was attacked on Sergels torg in central Stockholm while campaigning for LGBT rights. The woman was hit on the head, had objects thrown at her and was jumped by several young people while a number of security guards looked on passively, before finally intervening. Police are investigating the incident as a hate crime.

On Sunday, a woman in her 55s campaigned in Sergels torg. From a podium she spoke into a megaphone in front of a large audience, and there were also several security guards present.
A video clip now circulating on social media shows young people in the crowd suddenly attacking the woman and several people throwing objects. One boy comes running from behind and hits the woman on the head with an object. A man then throws water at the woman and another young man rushes up to the podium and punches the woman in the face. Only then do the security guards intervene and move the woman aside.
- The woman has exercised her right to free speech, the young people were there for another reason," Daniel Wikdahl, the police spokesperson, told Bulletin.
"No riot participants"
Daniel Wikdahl further tells Bulletin that the youths who were at the scene and carried out the assault were not participants in the riot. He says that several young people have gathered in Sergels torg recently and that it has become a kind of meeting place. According to Wikdahl, a number of people were removed from the scene afterwards.
- We took up a number of criminal reports after this incident. There are two cases of assault, vandalism, unlawful threats, grand theft and violent disorder.
The woman did not need to seek medical attention after the assault. The police classify the incident as a hate crime.
- One person was detained at the time. I don't think anyone is still in custody as these are teenagers and young people in their late teens.
Bulletin is looking for the security company Avarn security.

Basically, the tranny criticized how Muslims treat them, and they got mad.
