Like what? Like the amount of songs he had sitting around. Yeah that's absolutely true. The 1999 reissue had 2 discs of unreleased shit while the SOTT reissue had 3. Some of it was making the bootleg rounds for decades. But some shit (Bold Generation, the horn version of Dorothy Parker, the Early vocal take of Forever In My Life, the original recording of Tecacher, Teacher, the final mix of Purple Music) was not circulating.
I wish the estate/labels would release the copious amounts of unreleased material by era, and in standalone releases. I already own practically all his studio albums, I don't want to buy them again to get the extra material.
I've got no doubt there will be something decent somewhere in the vaults; but you know sometimes it is best to have what is on the menu and not be exposed to the earlier attempts of the chef. There is probably a reason most of it was never released.
