Seeing as the metrics across my desktop and phone tell me that brave has saved over 5 hours of my life and blocked nearly 6 million ads in the span of just 3 years, I honestly shill Brave to everyone.

I assume you're thinking in terms of using a VPN- ideally all the time- but then using a web browser with manual proxy settings for a SOCKS proxy your provider also provides, or using a extension provided by your VPN provider that uses SOCKS or HTTP proxies in the background. Is there any tangible advantage to using a VPN + proxy? The VPN I have, PIA, has an optional proxy you can turn on in addition to the VPN. I assume the answer is yes, but I remember hearing somewhere that using both can cause a leak. I can never get a clear answer because search engine results for anything even remotely related to a VPN or proxy are just endless pages of shilling.
I bought a cell phone factory just to have enough burner phones for every post I make. Not buying a burner phone for every post you make here, and immediately destroying it after each one.
Get on my level.
Shit, I use that. Any better alternatives?I heard LastPass is terrible as there are trackers in it.
Yeah, I always use a VPN whenever I'm on this site. Plus using an e-mail that doesn't have much else, if anything, attached to it helps too.Using a VPN in general is great practice no matter what. Sure it probably won't stop the NSA from spying on you but it's still good to use.
I've used LastPass for years with no problems.I heard LastPass is terrible as there are trackers in it.
Not necessary. The general advice that I'm getting from here is to ditch my VPN in favor of Tor, yes?
That's a good point, after all They got to Pam.Just because you are paranoid doesn't mean They aren't after you.
Nah, not her. Pam just realized she can't win the discussion because people don't comment there to win and moved on with her life...That's a good point, after all They got to Pam.
It's flawed, but vanilla Tor is always the go too choice for basic privacy. The general advice that I'm getting from here is to ditch my VPN in favor of Tor, yes?
Also, how useful is following this advice for something like a security clearance?
I always found Tor too slow for regular browsing, even by using the config to lock nodes to one country the latency was too high. If you're fine with that, it's a good option to go for.The general advice that I'm getting from here is to ditch my VPN in favor of Tor, yes?
