Money Problems/Success with Ordering From CWCVille Etsy/Ebay

(Jan. 15th.)
As you can tell by my interactions with him in the Etsy conversation i was Seriously 100% surprised that he even responded to my first query. I ordered the Comics.. <- I use the term "Comics" like i was talking about the old Sunday Papers "Cathy" strips (it ruins the whole page).

E-sellers ship within 5-7 days.

(Jan 20th)
I nagged him five days later, (kinda shitty to do to a REAL seller) but, because i knew i wasn't dealing with Amazon. I reminded his ass, and (his Inbox.)

(the 23rd)
I get a response 3 days later from him in pure disbelief. That was on the weekend of the the "Snow Here Is Deep" video. He had promised to Get/Ship the comics by the beginning of the next week. So i gave him benefit of the doubt.

Chris at first, seemed very consumer friendly.

But its 13 days later...

Tons of Chris Internet content, but no "Work" content.

I'd hope to find that long lost Shaker of Salt in my mailbox one day....

But instead, he crapped his pants and may have taken my money. :tomgirl:

Ok, forget this bullshit, open up paypal disputes.

Personally the best thing you can do is open up a Paypal dispute. I like Chris and would never support weening of him that would affect his finances, but you paid for a good with your own money, he took your money and unsurprisingly now can't even be bothered to reply to you to update you on what's going on. Chris tends to be very slow to reply after someone has actually paid money and I see no harm in telling him if he doesn't supply the item then you want your money back, that's not weening, it's just the right thing to do.

He made that guy from that Sony video rapping challenge look like a hero.
It's very much possible to come off as the "bad guy" in your interactions with Chris. Just look up what happened PumpkinSwirl / Coty Smith who intentionally set Chris up to fail with an eBay order and then blackmailed him for a video, extra drawing and a medallion.

On the other hand, I'm glad you shared all that you did, as it was informative. But when you say shit like you did this for teh lulz or as an experiment, all I gotta ask is how many more people like yourself is it going to take to get fucked by Chris before this experiment is finally over?

Edit - not trying to be mean

The real Lulz, would be owning those atrocities of comic books and framing them in my bathroom.

what i dont understand is why there is a market for this fucking trash he makes.
Someone earlier mentioned buying something as a gag gift, which doesn't seem all that silly to me.

Heck, if people got disposable income and just want to buy some stupid shit Chris makes, more power to them, imo. Lord knows we all spend our disposable income on stupid shit every now and then. Buying a $50 comic or whatever because you think it'd be funny to own a signed copy of Sonichu isn't all that much dumber than impulse buying a video game you don't need. They are even about the same price.

That said, giving Chris hundreds or thousands of dollars is absolutely retarded.

But when he inevitably perishes in the next house fire he starts, won't it be worth a lot of money?

Weirdly I think I'm one of the rare ones who had a decent transaction. It's old as balls but when he first started doing the medallions after that whole "I'll sell a doodle for $1000 minimum" fiasco, I ordered a Megagi medallion for the friend who first introduced me to this thrill ride of autism. When I messaged asking for the custom medallion, I got no reply. A few weeks later I messaged again just asking whether I was getting Megagi or a standard Sonichu and got some ramble about 'the current batch has been shipped' in return without telling me which one I was getting. Was resigned to getting a vanilla Sonichu after that but fair enough I got Megagi...with a smushed nose and broken hair but the photo's on the CWCki, it wasn't the worst.
I think it's purely because OPL is so used to marketing on TV that he comes out with new products and promotions without finishing the orders he's already got. As soon as sales start to drop off his first reaction isn't to complete the orders he has, its to get more interest and sales in. I got lucky cos I ordered something right at the beginning when he only really had one or two products and ebay was looming over him if he didnt get them done. Now he has a ton of shit and is under the umbrella of Etsy, anyone who orders now does so with the knowledge that they may never see what they paid for.

I see this turned into another "Don't buy from Chris thread," but I'm kinda for that after reading things here. If Chris can't deliver because of issues, he should postpone selling new items.
@Asperchewy, keep on keeping on, stay on his ass about what you've already paid for. If he doesn't deliver by Valentine's day, get on Paypal's ass and get yo bucks back.

I agree Amelia, I believe it's like shopping at Spencer's novelty store, but there's no way in hell you would ever find this in a store, not because it's rare, but because there's no real profit in it, except for an autistic manchild who's stressed and needs to pay his bills...tomgirl wink.

Why is everyone so afraid of getting doxxed by the big bad autist? Eventually
his sale saga journey will unwillingly end. I mean, look at his embargo on other places..complete failure from the start.
He made that guy from that Sony video rapping challenge look like a hero.

Because I don't want weens showing up to my Meerkat hole. Do you know how hard it is to keep dust out of the ground in the desert? Exactly.
