I do like adjustable truss rod access without taking the neck out, three ply pickguard, and the 5 way switch over the 3 but it's funny when companies try to reinvent the strat but the original is still amazing.
I agree, these are all good and worthy improvements. but CBS happened and Fender went to shit, 3 bolt necks, nitro to poly, switching to lower quality components, taking production from America to third world shitholes like Mexico and Indonesia. granted, they did revert back to 4 bolt necks, but the quality never returned to the old standard.

most powered prothesthics are running on technologies of 1960's as much their design and principle didnt changed at all besides seeing actual production

Even though I love the 72 Thinline tele, CBS really did change things for bean counters over players that makes the 50s strats so special. I know not everyone can afford an usa strat but that new Indo Fender "Standard" Strat they are pushing is pretty sad and I been fine with the Mexican made strats for the price.

Since someone mentioned Listerine already I'll throw in baking soda especially Arm & Hammer brand.

Also add Vegemite for Australians. Especially bonus points for Woolworth's brand. How tf does Woolworth's stores die around the world but manage to survive as a brand Down Under,

Yeah Aussie business difference history is so weird. I heard the explanations on why some chains of Burger King restaurants were renamed Hungry Jack's instead but I still don't get why? Oz marketing is bunk asf.
naming & licensing rights really
the fender strat has changed drastically (and arguably for the worse)
Yeah but if you grab a 54 Strat or 52 tele it's amazing how much Leo got it right straight outta the gate.
Boss pedals have gone unchanged in their design since they released. Even the font is the same, no redesign whatsoever

circuit component changes that a pedal autist would argue make it an entirely different pedal but yeah the original lineup of Boss effects are the litmus test.

Altoids. I always default to the cinnamon flavor for when I need to stay up.

I always keep the tin they come in. It's very handy to hold stuff in.
Dad kept a tin of these in the glove box of his truck at *all times* when I was younger. Every time I have one it sends me right back to sitting on the old torn up seats in his piece of shit pickup that was older than I was while heading to church on a Sunday.

Also the pop-r will catch as many fish as it did decades ago.

The hooks go bad and get bent easily like the always have, so I recommend swapping them out right away, the body of this topwater popper is still perfect though.
