"I've been trapped in my khando for two years playing this game."
Well shoot maybe it does. Why was DSP filming these in the first place? Just trying to spice up content with variety? Just seems like an odd way to try and get viewers.

Damn, how Philip has changed. In these videos he has a full head of hair, a full and robust goatee, arms that don’t look like wet noodles, and he’s only sporting a B-cup.

Sadly though, he burned that bridge with John and Howard years ago. They won’t be there to rescue him from his hellish nightmare of playing video games alone all day everyday this time.

I think I see why this video series fell apart. Ostensibly at the end Phil would have had to provide footage of himself being good at video games, and even the fanciest video editing suite isn't capable of that. This is why you want to story-board everything before you begin a project so that you can make sure your most outlandish ideas are feasible. For the price of a pack of 3×5 cards, a pencil, and some rough sketching and they would have seen that this project falls apart at the conceptual level. They would have saved some money and a few friendships :(

Also, did Phil make half a video series due to YouTube commenters mocking his terrible video game skills?

i don't think the story is what doomed this because its just your standard goofy early youtube comedy series, standards are low across the board, what ruined this was phil, had someone else been in phils place i think this would have taken off as the height of friends goofing around and just flowing with their story board
to emphasize this would not have ever been good yes on a conceptual level its garbage, but it would have been finished had phil been a different person

i always saw it as a sort of adam sandler situation, wants to have fun with his friends but also wants it to be payed while doing it
I think that is actually closer to the truth than people might think. I'd say that the thing that really tipped things into the crapper was Phil caring more about the getting paid part, and less about having fun. Which ironically is the same position he is in today.

If you can believe it there is at least 1 unreleased episode of Project 7. Aireaidlord brought it up at some point. There was supposed to be a Christmas episode and he helped film it. It involved the Grinch if I remember correctly.

I've seen it. It's predictably awful.

This fucking thing. It's not Project 7, but it might be even worse.

Is this what he was talking about? I'm almost positive he was talking about a Project 7 episode. Could be wrong though. All this shit blends together after awhile.

I believe he stated it on one of the SOK episodes he was on if anyone cares to dig up the video.

 the 1.75L handle of Tanqueray Gin "For Santa". It's "just a meme" that you drink a lot of gin though, right Phil? You're probably having a big Christmas party later with lots of other gin drinkers attending, of course that's not just for your sad lonely ass to drink by yourself on Christmas ;)

Except Adam Sandler bought his friends cars instead of leasing one for himself while pretending everyone else was fine being compensated through "exposure."

In all seriousness you're right and say what you will about this, and there is a lot to say, at least it shows effort and motivation. Just a few years later Phil wouldn't even edit some old clips together for a trailer, not even to keep the grift going, and Phil today won't set up a tripod to take a bite out of a sandwich he is going to eat anyway.

Phil didn't do any of the editing on Project 7. Wasn't it the "Respect the Pact" dudes? And the fact that he wouldn't pay them any money for one of the main reasons they wouldn't work on it any more?
