ProjectMoon Megathread - Lobotomy Corporation, Library of Ruina, Limbus Company, etc.

The idea of acceptable deaths would be more inline with the settings more but I can't see it happening well. The main issue is that action economy wise, it's hard to accept a death because it would remove 1/6 of your attacks, buffs/debuffs/status and resource generation. The only way to make it work is that the action penalty goes away after a turn so that you aren't handicapped the rest of the fight or doing the switch immediately which gives you a unit with 0 SP that won't benefit you as much.
Yeah, it could be really useless or annoying, but with something like a +30 sp buff for reinforcing units and them getting the action slots of the unit they are replacing it should be fine. Not to mention keeping the thing from RR4 where you get EGO resources when a unit dies.

Another big issue is the SP drop from character death. More than a year after release and we have only 2 negative coin characters. Getting an ally killed without being able to avoid it followed by failing basic clashes because the coin system being rigged will be very unfun.

It's kinda wacky that they use RR4 as an example of sinner deaths being interesting, because I think 99% of people who got good clears did it without being even close to losing anyone. I only lost one character because I got greedy with resources and thought I should save them for later because I didn't even realize I was on the final fight. Kinda feels like he wants to push it more for lore reasons than actual gameplay reasons, since the sinners get mollywhopped by everything repeatedly in story fights, so they want the gameplay to incorporate that.

A much better gameplay option would be some kind of tag system, where every X turns you can pay resources to tag out a sinner and replace them with someone else who inherits action slots. Or even some kind of assist system where you pay big money to have a character do a skill or EGO from the backline without swapping in on a long cooldown. There are absolutely shit characters you want to keep in the team for their nice support skills, like Mariachi Sinclair or base Rodya. I don't like either option of them being forced in through my sinners getting instakilled by some shit, or me having to run backliners with nonsensical support skills just because they're good onfield.

IMO, its a great thing for them to experiment with these extended party mechanics. Makes team building way more interesting than "stack whatever debuff". Actually, now that I'm thinking more about it. This is just a better more streamlined version of how ruina did multi floor fights.

The logical end of this system is that at some point we will have something equivalent to the reverb assembly reception where we select 2 separate parties of 6 to simultaneously deal with something.

Also it is quite frankly bad design that so many characters perform better solo than with a team.
My hope is that uptie 5 (I predict we will get it at the end of season 5) will make all of the archetypes more complimentary like the BL team is.

Finally got caught up on the livestream.

I've seen people calling her and Heath Sweepers, but honestly Faust looks more like the Pupeteer and the director called them machine humans so I highly doubt their sweepers. Looking at their animations they seem to be Burn IDs which doesn't fit with either, but just judging by their dialogue and appearance my current guess is that they're supposed to represent the third party that has been attacking WARP trains and turning their passangers into monsters, and honestly they're look reminds me of Rosespanner so my current guess is these IDs represent members of an anti-W corp revolutionary group that mimics the Puppeteer.

Isn't that literally what sweepers are?
They cant be related to jae heon since he's dead/ a book.

if anything they are from the gaze office
Sweepers are weird, I'm 90% sure that they're actual bodies are liquid contained in the suits, which is why they eat people by converting them into a liquid.
Also when I say related, it's me being polite and not calling them larpers. They larping as the puppet fucker.

But I guess they could be Gaze, if Molar can choose a new gimmick why can't Gaze.

It's a shame that Faust already has a WARP ID so there is no connection between the two. Unless the plot is that she got fucked over so hard she joined an anti corp, which will be the first time we'll have the same ID entity in two different moments in time.

Kinda niche coming from a base unit player but you would be surprised at how no longer having every fight be resolved with the winrate button and having SP become a huge resource to manage completely changes the way the game is played in terms of tactics. I've said it before and I'll say it again, there's nothing the Red Mist fight in Ruina has that a Season 0 set of IDS (with a few exceptions) vs the average boss after the first few clashes (which yes, you 100% can job and have to restart)

So long as the sheer amount of killing you are expected to do is cut down tremendously, fights falling between -10 and 40 sanity allow so many more IDS to shine.

I want to say that a good compromise would be that skill 2 and skill 3 use small amount of SP before the clash to make it so they are more high risk high reward, but on the other hand a losing a clash can be extremely lethal (on the other other hand EGO skills are nearly a guaranteed clash pass).

New trailer dropped right on time, the new IDs are confirmed to be Fixers from the "Multicrack office" I still think they have revolutionary connections like Rosespanner has since Multicrack Fuast referenced a plan, but it looks like the Multicrack fixers also got turned into love towners and we'll be working together with a Fixer to deal with the incoming townie hoard. Outis' new Dimension Shredder EGO will hopefully help out W Outis, although it'll be competing with space alongside Ebony Stem.
Also "Faust" seemingly confirming that Faust is an identity like Charon and Lapis due to "Faust" having her access to Faust's knowledge be severed, or it could be the Faust hive mind theory.

"My access to Faust's knowledge...has been severed" fuck she got bimbofied, but in seriousness it seems that Outis' new ego has a special kill animation that cuts apart the victims sprite,, I wonder if we'll get to see more interactions in the future.

My theory on what's happened is that the whole problem is caused by a bloodfiend like Elena molding the passengers into monsters like Tomerry

Probably won't happen, but I really hope getting to -45 SP will trigger a new LoveTown form rather than usual corrosion.

I look forward to killing Kromer with it, and since Multicrack Faust cites being connected to Faust as well, I think it's a little bit column A, a little bit column B. With the various Fausts all being connected to the main Faust who we haven't seen yet, but is probably some sort of future anatgonist.
Also your correct about the Bloofiend, TLs have been done on the enemies and they're called things like "Blood bag hungry passanger" etc. Makes sense since Elena's power is the most replicable, guess the guy on the cover is a Bloodfiend.
Also the IDs don't seem to be using Burn to my disappointment, they're bleed and charge. At least Rhino-sault will be in good company.

Alright bois, I got a story prediction.

OG Faust is the head.
Nah. My schizo theory from smoking the same batch of crack as the director is that:
One Faust somehow managed to merge multiple instances of herself together and has gained an insane ammount of knowledge from multiple mirror worlds. Kind of how sinners from W-corp mirror worlds have extensive knoledge about the Warp trains. It is also the opposite of what [REDACTED] did on Canto VI of killing herself across all mirror worlds. The giga-Faust is also being held/comes from that ball of chains from the Mephistopheles engine, that seems like a very important aspect of her canto since it appeared on promotional art and on her base EGO.

It is also interesting how we see three shadows. One determined, the other at the limit of breaking down and we don't get to see the third.

The new Multicrack IDs for Heathcliff and Faust share a Charge potency focus ,and also sacrificing health to gain Charge count. Heathcliff grows faster and has more clash power, and Faust inflicting more damage with the higher their potency is. Heathcliff seems like he'll be okay especially with that debuff that gives attackers charge and Faust's skill 3 inflicting Envy Fragility next turn helps out Envy resonance teams, Heathcliff's blunt fragility also works well with that team since it has a lot of blunt on it.
But one thing worth noting is that Heathcliff's new id works perfectly with his AEDD EGO, as it gives him more haste, and gives charge proportional to missing HP. While it's corrosion gives Charge and spends it before giving back 10 charge, all of which is stuff Multicrack Heathcliff wants to do.
Also I don't think this needs to be said but Multicrack Faust is another Faust ID that has the colors to fuel Fluid Sack
DshredderOutis.jpeg
Outis' Dshredder is another resonance = attack weight EGO, and is tailor made to support her W Corp ID, giving Haste and Load next turn based on Charge Potency and both giving and consuming Charge count to fuel her passive. But one interesting thing is that the Corrosion maxes out your Charge count while the passive increases the maximum amount of charge while increasing the damage Charge consuming skills do, making the Charge on kill easier to get and making W Outis' passive proc easier.

Also the first of those long awaited UI change Pmoon has been talking about, honestly it's about time.
Everything else is just standard.
