ProjectMoon Megathread - Lobotomy Corporation, Library of Ruina, Limbus Company, etc.

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I'm with you on the post-chapter thoughts. It just feels empty. I'm thinking that whatever multi-eye lady is doing, that's gonna be where we get the tech for summoning the different personas in Limbus.
That's shockingly possible, but why would he use it? That makes me look forward to the next chapter more, lol.

My current theory for the events leading to Limbus is Vergil getting some sort of motivation across the Leviathan comic to finally actively oppose Iori and thus Limbus is his attempt at swiping EGO before her to foil her plans, but he ends up stooping to her level by using this fucked up tech because everyone (who matters to the plot, so fuck off Wonderlab) is morally grey in PMverse. The unpredictability of the tech would probably give him a leg up in matching Iori with a bunch of misfits... maybe. IDK where Dante fits into any of this unless Dante is Garnet or one of his current crew post-Distortion?

What if Dante is an E.G.O.? Since they're going with the Dante's Inferno connection, it's possible that Vergil will 'guide' Garnet through Hell while fighting against the Ring, causing him to have an ultimatum that makes him Distort (Purgatory) and then at the end of the comic, return to normal but gaining an E.G.O. (Heaven).

Ooh, I like that. Usual PM going full ham on the literature references again. Does also justify using the Ring as the antagonist atm specifically because of Inferno as well as Lapis being Beatrice?

Though I'm not too sure how I'd feel about Distorting into gaining E.G.O after what Wonderlab did, but granted from the QNA it seemed that PM didn't tell or answer Mimi if she bothered asking whether Distortions can return to normal.

What kind of emotion would have fueled something like Dante, though? With a Distortion I saw it as a desire to "turn back the clock" and fix some major event which led to said Distortion effect.

Considering that Roland Distorted for his fight and then returned to normal, it's entirely possible, plus we know that you can turn an E.G.O. into a Distortion because of Philip, so why couldn't you do the opposite?
Another theory I have is that Vergil is the one who Distorts/gets an E.G.O., maybe Dante isn't actually a person but something akin to a Stand? But, I don't really know about this one comsidering that Vergil's kind of emotionless, however that also makes this more interesting if it does happen.
And, yeah, I agree with you. Maybe everyone from the orphanage gets killed and it ends with Garnet/Vergil sacrificing themselves to the save the other, causing the Distortion/E.G.O.

Well we know Vergil is very much alive by the point of Limbus, so I don't think he'd die. Maybe.

Philip was a different case, using the tightrope metaphor he was still balancing on it during Wedge only to fall off and Distort when Oswald broke him into TCC. Xiao made it to the end of the rope and got EGO, Yan spedrun jumping into the abyss of Distortion. Roland was a really weird case considering the Library was at the height of its power, it was likely closer to how Xiao, Philip, Yan, and Tomerry overrode the stuff of the floors we used.

I don't really like agreeing with Mimi, but she does have a point in the QNA regarding Catt Distorting back that it's harder to forgive yourself and fully spring back into a strong resolve, as opposed to having a strong resolve yet breaking when something pushes you past your limit.

Stando Dante would be fucking hilarious and if PM goes that route I'm all onboard for Limbus.

I mean, I think that Dante will be the explanation why the characters can die while on missions, but be back by their end. So, maybe that could explain how someone could die but then return. Obviously, if that's true, there's going to be a limit, otherwise there would be no stakes to the story. Maybe it only works by rewinding time up to a certain point in the past (like 30 minutes ago), and with only a few uses per day (which could be how they implement an energy mechanic to the game).
I do agree that he didn't Distort is possible, considering the fact the entire reception's based on Roland's memories. Philip's case is pretty uncommon too. So, here's my revised theory, one of them reaches the breaking point and starts hearing Carmen's voice, however a part of them still doubts her and so, she shows them what could happen if they accept her, this causes them to pseudo-Distort, like if the things Moses sees before the Distortions manifest became real, and then the sacrifice happens, however because of a motivational speech or something, this has the opposite effect of what Carmen wants, causing them to get an E.G.O.
I do hope we get weirder Distortions/E.G.O.s, getting a Stand one would be kino.

Project Moon posted this to their Twitter:
https://twitter.com/ProjMoonStudio/status/1504429119118794758?s=20&t=BikTCqev7WrWovQhps83Pw
It's a 3d(?) corridor. Hopefully it means we'll get some teasers or more content from them.
Edit: Ch. 6 is out: https://projectmoon.postype.com/post/12060792
It seems this was a teaser for the chapter, maybe the corridor will have a greater function in Limbus too?
Mirror. I completely forgot it was due to come out today...

The only thought I have so far is "god shut up about Lapis" because it's starting to feel like Taii/Rose's Rose/Catt simping again.

Are you talking about something that happened in WonderLab? Or it's fans?

I’ m talking about the forced “they like each other, here’s proof that they like each other by making then yell their names every three panels” thing WL had. I don’t have a reason to want to save Lapis because I barely know her. Making Garnet whine about her constantly isn’t going to convince me she’s worth saving. At least with Rose in WL we get a poor-little-rich-girl story right before she gets beaten the hell up.

Oh, I see. Yeah, these chapters have revolved arround the disappearance of Lapis, but we've never seen her. Honestly, I'm more interested on the tech than her, which is pretty ironic.

Sorry for the double post, but this is big news. For some reason, the pre-registration page on the site was accessible earlier than it should be and within it, there finally was confirmation of the fact Limbus is a gacha. Not only that, but Limbus was confirmed to be also released for Apple phones and, specifically, Windows 10.

The flowers are "Photogrammetry", the fuel box is Enkephalin, the E.G.O is "Fourth Match Flame (Ryoshu)".
The site was taken down after a few hours. But, the leaked Personality was released on Twitter: https://twitter.com/LiberareLimbus/status/1509478583064207362
It's Yi Sang but part of the Blade Lineage group, the one Bamboo-hatted Kim is from. Also, after everything, this may be PM's reply to the situation:
https://twitter.com/ProjMoonStudio/status/1509555734971023365
lmao
Edit: PM has officially released the site. You can enter it now, but it still has some bugs. The flowers were translated to "Lunacy" and what's basically summon tickets were added as well.
Finally, Leviathan chapter 7's Korean version has been released. We'll have to wait a bit.

Unfortunate link name, but here's Chapter 7.

There's no fucking way this was delayed because of a "nonsense word" this time. There was barely any text to clear up. CKC is just getting lazier the more PM lets them get away with.

It feels like a lot of fluff yet again. At least this artist can do interesting backgrounds, if the previous few chapters haven't shown how they're better than Mimi in that regard already. Every panel of Vergilus and Garnet walking just reminded me of the Jojo meme and I'm not sure if that's a good thing.

I guess we'll finally get to see what Vergilus' gaze can do? Or that card is like, a Colour-only Fixer ID of some sort.

Not much to say except I have no idea why they put extra attention to that weird painting. It didn't look that special, but the next few chapters will probably show what it does.
You're probably right about that coin thing, I only wish we'll be able to see the other Colour's IDs as well, they've got a nice style.
Also, did any drama happen because of the opening of Limbus' pre-registration site? Considering how much redditors hate gacha, unless they play one themselves, at least one sperg out should have happened, right?

I personally haven't seen any drama re: the pre-reg beyond "how does CKC not understand that Pre-Reg is not the term for this?", it's mostly been speculation about what the PE boxes are.

The painting heavily resembles Vergilus (hence why it's overlaid his eyes in the second last panel), I'd assume it's a painting of the destruction that happened in the first chapter when he was fighting Iori (the spikes are the destroyed buildings, the circles are Iori teleporting(?), and the circles with trails are probably Vergilus' eyes when they were glowing). I do kinda wish it was a colour page to better emphasise his Red Gaze.

New Leviathan KR is up. JP isn't, and obviously EN is gonna be like, a week late as usual. Here's to waiting!

Edit: As expected, JP came up not long after KR, proving that CKC is just slacking like usual. Here's EN.

People have pointed out that the ocean thing was mentioned in TDD, and the final eye shot is similar to The Dreaming Current's picture. Personally I'm just distracted by the PEACE chain with how goofy it is.

(Does this count as triple posting...?)

PM has teased gameplay footage for Limbus, which can be viewed here. Full showcase is slated for 6th May KST.

If you can't view the gif for whatever reason: It's Yi Sang attacking an enemy using what seems to be Seven Association cards. The Blunt icon is back. The dice rolling is back. It just looks like LOR again.

ETA: The Subreddit Discord also hosted a survey and here are the results.

Highlights and opnions:
-Subreddit as expected is filled with Americans in their teens LOL
-Tumblr sexyman Roland is a top favourite, Angela surprisingly low by the reddit's usual SJW standards.
-People really liked Children of the City enough to push it to first? Iron Lotus placing third doesn't feel right from what I've seen in the fandom. The LOR Theme Song (String Theocracy) didn't even make top five, did people grow tired of it? At least I feel validated that Poems isn't in the top three: never got why people liked it at all.
-If you're wondering (like me) what Sunpov was: it's some shitty anti-meme.

We'll finally get news about Limbus, thank god.
This is pretty weird though, why would they originally go back to using red/white/black/pale, but then change to LoR's attack types? Unless, both types of attacks will appear in the game, which is a pretty interesting proposition to me.
