ProjectMoon Megathread - Lobotomy Corporation, Library of Ruina, Limbus Company, etc.

Where da kiwifarm certified reroll tier list?
I rerolled until I got Ryo+Don+another SSR. They also seem like the popular characters from when I peaked in the /vg/ thread.

Since the launch has been a shit show they're giving 2 ten pull tickets for all the maintenance. Now you start with 50 rolls so getting a stacked account is pretty easy.

Just like LC and LoR. I don't understand shit about game mechanic. I am going to wing it until I somehow understand how this game work.

It’s pretty much Mobile LOR, except they made the vs “humans” fights harder because they took away your ability to select your target (while abnormalities can still be Indexed to death, so abnos are hilariously easier than most of the story)

I don’t get why they made the cards roll twice just to determine if it hits or not. It just makes it confusing as hell because sometimes I’ll win all clashes but the enemy still replays his card for damage because fuck me I guess. (I’d rather have the old version of “if I lose I get hit if I win I hit”, but I can respect that the current version of the battle system turns all clashes into, like, melee vs ranged because a single dice card can beat a four dice card if you roll good enough.)

There’s also too many new statuses or revamps to older statuses and no consistent way to check them since they often last one turn or the turn they’re applied on. Bleed apparently only procs twice now? I don’t think Burn decays anymore? What the hell is “Tremor” or “Sinking”? (The former is tied to specific skills that activate the status, and rhe latter is just +stagger damage up for the next hit) They seriously need a glossary for this, shit’s not as straightforward as Fate/Grand Order.

Also I hate the Shard system because who the hell has 400 shards while also converting for Thread but that’s just my annoyance with Shard gachas in general.

Also, Day 2 Patch. They’re nerfing 2-18, the current stage that’s gatekeeping most people because of the 4 hit 10 average roll card (which wouldn’t be a problem if we had targetting), and fixing the unclaimable weeklies. Wonder when they’ll fix the random untranslated KR text in menus and loading screens?

Compensation for Patch: 1x 10 roll ticket + 1.3k gacha currency (another 10 roll)

The nerf on 2-18 was pretty heavy, got through it on my first try after being stuck on it last night. I do think that if EGO didn't crash my phone I might have been able to do it. I ended up dumping my thread (bricking my account) on Don to get her to tier 3 for it.

I'm holding on to Faust's and am using the rest for uptying Ryo to 3, after that I don't know. People seem split on hoarding, and investing in mains and holding for a character. If you can't get into or through mirror dungeons then invest in your characters for sure. One character from the shop is worth three tier 3 characters so keep those investments value in mind.

So what should I use da threads for?
Their only purpose is Uptying. I used them to get Tier 2 on the units I use most since that unlocks their Passives. Only bothered unlocking Tier 3 for the units I could see myself using for a very long time.

Haven’t used Uptying for EGO yet.

So, does the friendlist have any purpose?
You apparently can borrow units from friends, but I haven’t tried + it’s hard to figure out which unit came from which friend since there’s no username of sort.

This thread exists huh? I no longer follow this franchise anymore but to give my two cents

Lobotomy Corp is still my favorite of the games, the art style and scp-like gameplay work best for what the game going for.

I never played Library of Ruina but from I have seen, the gameplay is pretty good for a card game. Although the story falls way to heavily into edgy grimderp territory.

I have barely heard of Limbus, but finding out about the Gacha trap and the fact that the director want to model it after FGO made me instantly nope out of getting invested.

I honestly fail to see the inspiration from FGO beyond “oh Artoria has seventy million alters, I’ll make my whole game alters”. And the spaghetti code, I suppose.

Story wise they did copy early game FGO’s “suddenly wyverns!” by turning it into “Don has a massive hero complex and causes problems for a third of the chapter”. I cannot see Limbus ever being close to FGO when it couldn’t even generate enough hype to hit their highest prereg goal (300k) lol

It's barely a Gacha tbh. and if you lose a mission your energy gets refunded.
I'm only on the 2nd chapter, so maybe this changes but, You level faster than you spend energy.
Honestly it feels like they had a game ready to go and then someone made them convert it into a Gacha just before launch.

MRW I have an SR or SSR of everyone but Don and Ryo

Limbus just gave every a 10 roll ticket with the message that a roadmap will be announced on Friday (in Korea, so tomorrow).
Here's my quick opinion on Limbus: I like it quite a bit but wouldn't recommend it to most people, at least for now. There are simply too many bugs and unintuitive things about it, hell, they haven't explained the menus options at all in the game, how were you supposed to figure out both the Friend and Support systems?
The story's pretty good, though. It needs less filler however.
I hope they add something to spend time or grind in the game outside of Mirror Dungeons, it's too empty.

I think they'll double down on the Mirror grind; 3-22 (the final stage atm) is asking for level 30 (yes, the max), and that's not accounting for dice roll increase you'd have to get from Uptying, which would also mean more Mirror grind...

There's that big empty space to the left of Mirrors in the drive screen, so I do hope events will have their own stages rather than being "just grind the normal stages, get this currency, spend".

I agree with you on the filler, but FGO and AK also had a lot of filler in their first few chapters (Chapter 4 was when stuff picked up for both) so there's that to look forward to.

What do you guys think about Abnormality fights? I found that the only gimmick I've had to consistently put up with was You Must Become Strong since it was "infinite" revives (actually 5 if I understand the Surgery passive) if I didn't destroy the factory.

Roadmap dropped.
There'll be a banner before the combat update, then a event. This is a bit slow I feel, but that combat update may make or break the game. I hope they'll make things better.

PM went a little more in-depth about their changes.
They'll increase the BP points and other stuff you get from Mirror Dungeons, including adding Lunacy as a reward.
They've also decided to add grindable stages for EXP and Thread (I hope you guys were saving your EGO Shards, cuz I wasn't), but they'll have a daily cap.
Limbus will finally begin to look like a proper gacha game.

Honorable mention to base Hearthcliff, chink cultivator, that gal from moby dick book and punch dude for bonking many blunt-weak enemies in chapter 3.

And Faust base ego too.

If I learned anything from f/go, its to hoard everything until an event drops kek

As long as they keep giving us shit for whatever they change I'm all for it.
