Place for when you encounter SJW / communist propaganda dressed up as children's books.

Recently encountered this piece of crap - The Magic Cane by Maria Celeste Arraras.

Summary:

- A witch encounters a young price and his best friend.

- The witch curses the prince and gives the friend some broken sticks.

- Years later, the friend's children get the sticks, discover they are a concealed weapon.

- The prince is now a king, he's not popular. The children murder him with their stick powers.

- Everyone rejoices because regicide is cool. Prosperous communal society ensues.

10 copies were received by local libraries. A Librarian told me they get them for free as part of a program designed to introduce diverse topics to young audiences. I read it because I recognized the artist, it was sitting on a table of featured titles.

I'm not in favor of burning books. This one tested me.

There's nothing keeping you from making your own shitty childrens book about cyberbulling and holding them down to record their screams or whatever then donating it to libraries.
Be the change you want to see.

Not necessarily propaganda since I don't know the contents, but it's just in poor fucking taste to shove this shit into a kid.

Safest parenting option: instead of some gay books, watch Dragon Ball Z with your son. It will make him a Man.
Fuck the terrible animated series, read the original comics to him.

Show him that part when Vegeta trains in 300g to catch up to Goku, then show him the part when he fucks up that sumo android and say:
"See? Hard work pays off."

No joke, that motivated me to get ripped.

Controlled opposition. Yes, I want to make my son a moron.

Censorship of any kind is wrong because if you force an ideology underground you remove the ability to legitimately confront it.

Instead you should ridicule and debate the adherents in public to turn away potential followers.
That's about how I feel, but there's a difference between theory and practice.

The book reads like poison for the mind. I wanted to throw it in the trash, the same way I would a handout at a street corner. But there it is, with a place on the shelf.

I talked with the Librarian who suggested writing a letter. The Librarian told me all letters are subject to FOIA requests, meaning the book could actually gain notoriety by being complained about. The Librarian also told me about other books that had been removed from the Library, like Mark Twain, Shakespeare, Hemingway, all Western Philosophy, John Updike, and others. The Librarian said this getting the book removed would get the author on a list with these other authors.

So I don't want to be part of the censorship crowd (which is clearly active in my area) nor do I want kids reading this crap. It sounds like complaints are something the Library would actively use to increase the popularity of the book.

On one hand we can use these to piss off some religious of peace people, on the other hand they would make for some decent BBQ starters or emergency toiler paper. But I think overall we all agree they are a waste of paper and ink which could had easily been used in more important stuff like KFC flyers.

No but seriously, who even reads books nowadays lol get with the times grampa.

This title of this thread doesn't make sense, because OP doesn't know that propaganda is a meh thing.
Proof: Propaganda = information, ideas, or rumors deliberately spread widely to help or harm a person, group, movement, institution, nation, etc. (Source: https://www.dictionary.com/browse/propaganda )

Everyone knows that the Superman radio show had him go up against the KKK.

But did you also know that the same show had Bruce Wayne mind - controlled into opposing the Marshall Plan because only evil people opposed it?

The artwork on the cover is genuinely terrifying, your child should be more concerned that their parents have been replaced by mannequins.

Does it counts as propaganda when Stalin banned Animal Farm for making fun of him?
I was teached at the school ,that propaganda is neither good or bad thing, it's just a tool used by many people.People saying that propaganda is a bad thing is equivalent to saying knifes are bad, because they kill people.

They're wrong though, propaganda is an inherently bad thing because it's dishonest and intellectually lazy.

I think what OP is trying to say is post about books directed to young kids that are about shit that a kid shouldn't be learning about or trying to influence them in a way that will fuck them up later in life, be it politically, religiously, or that eco-friendly bullshit about humans being inherently bad and we're all going to die in 10 or 20 years because of it.

A quick example.
