PULL is closing in 2 weeks

KF isn't the only lolcow forum, there was that other one where all the banned users tended to congregate. I can't remember the name of it, it's just as well.
 
T.O.P here. Honestly, we've noticed it's been degrading for quite some time now. Unlike lolcow, we know it's time to make like Stamina Rose and die. Though, we're not as dumb and are allowing people time to archive/cap everything and say their goodbyes. In particular, we're not looking for anybody to "take over, but don't mind a PULL 4.0 as long as it's started over new.

There's not really any members who we feel are trustworthy or IT-saavy enough to keep it up and we'd rather it die now before it gets any worse. As for lolcow.farms, our members have been crossing over since the beginning. (And I could easily have that confirmed.) Not sure why lolcow doesn't believe that. It was pretty much a platform for PULL-users to be super edgy without the threat of getting called out. Anon does that to a person.

Honestly, we do appreciate the concerns and have a soft spot in our hearts for kiwi since it was a gateway drug for a lot of us. I don't contribute much here but I hope Kiwi stays around a lot longer than the others seem to.

EDIT: actually I'm being unfair. Stamina Rose died because the admin was a tard and took pedo threats from an anon troll seriously.

PULLfag here, I probably will be migrating this way in light of recent events, but have you guys considered maybe a locked archive thread for some of PULL's juicier stuff before it vanishes? I'm sure tons of PULL's users would be happy to contribute as most of them are pretty proud of their digging, ya dig

you guys can use the media tabs up top probably to host galleries and such. but definitely keep in contact with @Null

If you guys want to make a sort of "best of" thread with screencaps that's perfectly fine. Might be a good idea to make a "PULL Best Of" in Lolcow General and just take discussion there with favorites.

Jesus christ I've never heard of this site but going to it is like peering into a parallel universe KF where Null was actually a /cgl/ chick. If KF belongs to a particular genre of site, PULL is certainly under the same genre.

I'm sure you guys will feel right at home here.

I'm a fellow user from PULL. It always makes me sad when a website closes. Especially when it is one I visit frequently.

I think most of the people on this site are cool and nice! I think because we can relate and share alike feelings about a topic.

It's probably just reputation! I'm not too impressed with the last-minute panic on Lovely's end

I hope others decide that migration isn't the worst idea, if it's done right
 
Also a PULL user, but I've lurked a couple threads here for a bit now. I think most of the PULL users that will migrate here are going to be some of the more chill ones because from what I'm seeing so far people aren't really into how this site is "brutal".

Like another user said the rating system should keep most PULL migrants in check because they are pretty cautious of their reputation (I've seen many bitch about being down voted though so that may be an issue for a while). Also PULL users do tend to bring their personal lives into a lot of the discussions so that may be annoying until they get the message that no one really gives a shit, and that we're here for the cows not them.

One suggestion I have to keep that non-sense out of the threads is to set up one single thread for them to be pansies in. PULL did have a couple threads open for general discussions on non-cow related matters, so maybe having a single thread for that here will keep some order during the transition.
