Since a lot of Pyro fans use the whole excuse of Ivory being 16 as a cover up for Pyro's actions, I'm just gonna put this out there.

Unironically this is why people need to go back to church and with their kids, less consumerism, more spirituality. And I get it redditors, the sky fairy is not based on FACTS and LOGIC, but at least this 2000 year old religion doesn't promote genital mutilations and underage sodomy.

I showed this to a few of my brit friends and even this was news to them. Really goes to show how uniformed the bongs are about their own age of consent laws. Now the question becomes "how heavily is this actually enforced?" Because it would not surprise me if it barely is. I don't disagree with it being shady if a 20 year old dates a 16 year old, but it is fucked that there's nothing preventing two dumb kids fooling around from being put into the legal system as rapists.

Jesus christ, regardless of intentions and who is actually a legit pedophile or not saying "I'm done with it it's behind me" and then bringing it up not even a full day later is just shooting yourself in the foot. Poor kid is gonna get harassed harder.

I mean it doesn't seem like a lot of these YouTube predators actually face any sort of legal ramifications in most cases barring the most extreme cases (Austin Jones). I wouldn't know about UK specifically, honestly I don't think Niall faces any legal threat from any of this unless some other instance was to come out or he engaged in something a little more damning then this ERP stuff. To be honest, even then I think Niall will just become the new MiniLadd and have his fan base eventually abandon him when he no longer has people playing defense for him.

In regards to Ivory, it seem like they don't expect anything to come from all this either and feel screwed over. When you see all these cases of predators/creeps having the general public come down on them for their actions, I assume he expected more support or at least to not be vilified for coming out about all this. Actually, the worst part feels like this will give more YouTubers an out if they are caught doing something similar, since "if Pyro doesn't get cancelled for it, why should they?" kinda logic.

So regardless of what any of us think, if we pretend for a moment that we know for 100% certainty that Niall did not know Ivory's age, (and we actually do know for certain he does not know the specifics about age of consent) what exactly is there left? We can argue all day about how gross the erp shit was but at the end of the day unless it was physical it just does not matter in the eyes of the legal system. In fact, pointing out to what @Warren Ampersand shared, that language is specifically about actual, physical sex. If they mean to tackle sexting as well then they need to update their laws.

Make no mistake, what happened between them was gross. Both of them has admitted it was gross, both of them admitted Niall fucked up.
I am highly suspicious of why Ivory backpedalled and then subsequently doubled down on a ward he barely knew the meaning of.
I do not believe Ivory is intentionally trying to smear Pyro at this point anymore, I think he's just a very socially awkward guy that got pushed into this after asking his friend if the erp shit was grooming. I don't know what it is that made Ivory change how he felt about Pyro.

But it was good that Ivory brought it up. I don't believe Pyro should go to jail, at least not yet. He is on very thin ice though and if worse comes out his fanbase will bury him. They were ready to do it before he responded, they'll do it again if things get even more damning.

For now, this seems to have mostly died, and people are just going in circles. I don't want to see Pyro get rubbed off because it honestly, from a completely neutral standpoint and looking at all arguements, seems like what happened with the whole thing of Ivory's age and how Ivory felt was intentional on Pyro's part.
But if there's more that shows he was still playing with fire, I'm not gonna care if he ends up burned because of it.

I know as far as the US goes engaging with a minor sexually, even via text, is illegal and falls under corruption of a minor. The issue is international laws and what jurisdiction it would fall under.

Ivory is the quintessential teenager who's embroiled in drama online. Literally the type of person to walk out of the courthouse after the case is thrown out then shortly rush back in with a piece of paper he got across the street TOTALLY confirming he's still got some heat.

Kid should just leave it be and move on.

What makes this worse is the fact that he's been an adult for awhile now. Furries have never really grown up past that whole high school phase that a lot of people go through. It's laughable.
