How so? "Megan" is disputing Chris' delusion that her boyfriend isn't real, and she pretended to date a gay guy just to make Chris jealous. That's one of Poobear's dumber delusions, and ripe for picking.

I, for one, find this latest episode amusing. I'd also like to buy this guy a beer, but I suspect they're not yet 21. Maybe I'll buy them a Fanta instead.

Yeah, it's shitty, but there's nothing at all to be surprised about, hell I figured it HAD to happen at some point. Ween kids gonna ween.
 
I'm not too concerned. Chris and the small collection of people who actually believe what he says about Meg all lack any sort of motivation to do anything but whine about it on Facebook. I'm curious enough to see how this goes. Meg will probably ignore it since she knows Chris isn't going to listen to actual reason.
 
I'm pretty torn morally. On one hand, Megan is trying to leave all that stuff behind her, and seemingly succeeding. She should be allowed to continue her life without fear of OPL's fearsome reprisals.
On the other, she's a massive part of Christory, and its not like any effort is made to redact her full name from the wikis it's on. Also, it's not like Chris will actually be able to do anything. He's proven time and time again that he is far too lazy and incompetent to render any effective action.
I suppose it boils down to whether you think it's wrong to invoke the name of someone uninvolved to (successfully) irk a response.
Lets face it, if we do get a full tardrage video out of it nobody's going to complain.

It's impossible to erase Megan's name. The Wallflower was different because she was a sort of casual encounter; Megan is embedded.

That's how the internet is. The harder you try to remove something, the more attention you draw to it and the worse you make things. I wonder if Chris will ever realize this.

That's exactly what I mean. Regardless of whether her name is evoked, she'll still be a target for weens because of how prevalent she is in OPL lore.
So is it really such a big impact on her life and privacy if someone pretends to be her?
I get what everyone means though when they say they don't like it. Logically I can't really see the harm, but it does seem morally questionable to drag up her name just to try and score a new video.

They're writing checks that she theoretically might have to cash. It's unlikely for sure that it would ever effect her, but its still a dick move.

Gotta agree with this. Chris is too gullible/naive to even question the veracity of the Megan videos, any person with sound logic can see that it's probably not Megan writing these. This probably won't affect the real Megan in the slightest, but still... Somebody pretending to be her is communicating with a guy she wants nothing to do with. :|

Call me an amoral bastard but I don't really care too much, he gets us content so I'm happy. If he'll get us a video so we'll actually get to observe OPL's current body language than I myself will give the Megan impostor a medal. Plus I really doubt this will have any real effect on Megan, as far I gather she's lives far enough from Chris to make any encounter between them unlikely.

I think it's particularly irresponsible for trolls to pretend to be real people in Chris' life (or at least used to be) in order to enrage him.

It's basically turning Megan into his victim again.
 
Brother, this is like driving past an accident. You don't want to look/watch, but you just have to. Or, it is like watching a squash match between the Earthquake and a local jobber, man. You don't want to watch that poor guy get Earthquake Splashed by a 468 lb behemoth, but one just has to watch.

Wow, so someone finally broke the rules of the CWC Illuminati.

It was November 2009 when I first discovered Chris (it was right after the end of the Kacey Saga) and I remember what was basically the #1 rule of Chris trolling - Do Not Pretend to be Megan.

Then it became pretty clear that you don't just contact Chris either - Any communication with Chris is apparently controlled by the CWC Illuminati, or something like that.

And here you have a Ween who went and broke BOTH rules. Whoever did this actually had like a 1/100000 chance of getting Chris to actually read this, AND respond.
 
I wouldn't be surprised if weens have tried Megan impersonation before. This might simply be the first that succeeded.

Brother, it would fit Chris's worldview at this time (that Megan, Snyder, etc... are the reason for his misery), which likely helped.
