Because hygiene is a social construct
This, but unironically.
One of the only reasons to keep up good hygiene is because society demands it. You make sure that you smell socially acceptable, but if you spend all day lazing about there is really no reason to smell of vanilla or roses it makes no real difference.
You could make arguments for washing due to health reasons, but at the end of the day the body is resilient to germs and it's really other people who drive you to want to keep up a good appearance. If you aren't interacting with others on a daily basis or you are socially awkward and don't care what others think I can see why showering wouldn't be a priority.
People who have an online presence should consider showering more though. Just because you can't smell them through the monitor doesn't mean they appear any less filthy.

This is rape

It's a trait more common to schizophrenics and people experiencing psychosis. I think the autism one is more a sensory issue, some of them are obsessive about being clean and some quite the opposite.

I was thinking about all the cows who never bathe or tend to hygiene. I really think it's Emotional immaturity. When I was a child my Mother had to force me to take a bath and wash my hair and I would kick and scream on bath days. But I was about 6. Many children have to be encouraged to brush their teeth and floss by their parents.

Back to the cows, with no parents around (in many cases) to instruct them to deal with their hygiene and with their emotional maturity level set often decades below their actual age they're not going to do anything to remove their own stink.

A practical explanation is since most of these cows are neets, they dont feel the need to bathe. No expectation, no worry. For me, I usually dont shower on the weekends because I dont got shit to do until the week starts. So make that weekend last forever, and there you go.
