Questions about Barb.

...And her health. Is it really quite as bad as we've been speculating?
This is the picture of Barb most of us are used to seeing, which gave her the nickname "Snorlax." And this is the figure she had when I saw her at the trial, and is presumably what she looks like now.

The difference in these pictures and what we know about her health from Chris is causing a lot of speculation that she is going to die soon, and that Chris's life is going to take a turn for the worse very, very soon.

But there's one thing I'm noticing. We only have ONE image of Barb as big as a snorlax. And it's not exactly taken at a flattering angle. She's sprawled out on a couch, half asleep, wearing a huge sweater and kind of looking down in a way that would exaggerate a double chin on anyone. She has never appeared in any videos until 2012, and she appears to be around the same weight then as she was in Chris's prom pictures from 2000.

I guess it IS possible that she could gain and lose a bunch of weight in those twelve years, but I went ahead and did a little art project and found that it might not be the case. I traced her figure in her "snorlax" picture and the one that Chris took when they went to see Mythbusters. I also drew my own estimate of what Snorlax!Barb would look like if she was standing up. They really aren't all that different.

I know what Indigo and I had said when we came back from the trial. "She lost weight!" Now I'm starting to think that maybe we were just expecting a morbidly obese woman based off just one unflattering photograph, and were surprised to see somebody... smaller.

Anyways, the reason I'm bringing this up is because the idea of Barbra losing that much weight plays a large role in Chris's life. Yes, she is unhealthy, but if she isn't losing weight like we thought, then it's possible that she's NOT rapidly dying and possibly has a while to go still, and Chris still has a few more years of a comfortable "stressful" life.

I think we all eagerly speculate Barbs mortality because deep down we all feel sorry for Chris having to deal with her insanity.

I guess there is a new theory now: that Barb lives for a very long time and Chris is stuck with her longer. The pile of dirty crapped depends and dirty crapped briefs at 14BLC is going to cause a Eco epidemic if that happens

Soon is relative. She's only in her early 70's. I doubt she's dropping dead any time in the next decade, even with her appallingly unhealthy lifestyle.

I kinda suspect Borbs "3 hrs energy/day" is just Barb engaging in a bit of hypochondriac-flavored guilt to get her retarded spawn up off his fat ass.

That's what I was thinking. A lot of the speculation going on in the forums, like in those "what's gonna happen to Chris when Barb dies" threads seem to be jumping to the conclusion that she's gonna drop within the next five years, given her supposed weight loss.

There's also the possibility that she was much healthier before she gave birth to Chris like Bob was, so even if she isn't so healthy now there's still a chance our mama-felon could just linger for a grand number of years.

And? She might be on medication for that. Doesn't mean it's going to kill her right away. (Although it could.)

I've always had my suspicions that she was just really lazy. She's not trim by any means, but she's not a land whale either. Chris has obviously been more influenced by Meemaw Burp than Pop Chandler. At least Bob had a work ethic and a sense of pride about taking care of his home and belongings.

I don't think she's ready to drop dead at any moment, but she is elderly, overweight (even if not at full snorlax weight), she doesn't get any exercise and eats fast food and microwave dinners. So, I really don't see her living to be 80.

I'm with the opinion that she'll be alive at least another 10 years. Chris will be in his 40's and will be on PS5 when all of a sudden "consiquences will never be the same".

Agreed, we do extrapolate a lot from the Snorlax pic. However, there is a natural assumption that a physical health decline could accompany a mental health decline. I think we use that to fill in the gaps of stuff we don't know.

I suspect that she doesn't move a whole lot and is beginning to see a cascade of physical problems because of it. The holes in her ass might be ulcers. I mean, she does live in what we can guess is a very unclean environment, eats terrible, has been hospitalized for issues and presumably doesn't move hardly at all. These all point to a number of issues that will begin to cascade in the coming years, and quickly.

I showed the CWCiki to my neighbor, who is a licensed Psychologist (and current). Her first reaction was to call Adult Protective Services. While obviously Burp and KaKa won't ever submit to anything resembling a mental health check, we can extrapolate enough from the wiki to give an idea of the issues. While Burp may still be fairly slim, all things considered, she's probably a mess in other areas and that includes mentally.

Let's face it, Chris is incapable to taking care of himself, barely his dogs and certainly not his mother. It's going to get worse. She very well may live another ten years or more and she will suffer from cascading physical and mental issues all the while. Have fun Chris.

I tried changing Bob's picture a while back and the change was reverted because the picture I used didn't reflect how most people remember Bob. I'm sure the same logic would apply to Snorlax and Chris/

Don't think it's necessary to change the article pics of Barb and Chris since these pics are popular and how people remember them. Perhaps I should add the updated pictures along?
