I had a quick question regarding image size. I know the rule is to thumbnail images here, and I have a thread in mind that I would like to make but it includes images of text that are extremely blurry and hard to read unless they are posted "Full-Size". I have tried to upscale them not sure if I am just doing it wrong or something but they just don't work in thumbnail. is there some simple way of doing this that you can explain to this here retard on how to show higher resolution thumbnails?

Like I said before, I can't do that. Null doesn't like when people don't thumbnail their images and I am not going to ignore his request, he has made several threads yelling at people to not do this exact thing. I'd like to avoid making the admin hate my guts as much as possible if I could. plus I just don't want to be disrespectful.
Cats, my feline friend, it's OK if you post the full image, but if it's too big (specially vertically), it should be spoilered, as I mentioned. By using a spoiler like this:
Pretend there are images here.

You should also use the spoiler tag if there are numerous consecutive images that are just going to make people scroll down for more seconds than usual...
Yeah but that's not thumbnailing. Null has stated many, MANY times that images are to be inserted as Thumbnails only. He doesn't want people attaching Full Size images.

And manually resizing a thumbnailed image does not increase its readability. You still have to click it.

Upload and post the full image, just spoiler it if it's big, specially if vertically.

If you only want to show the text, open in Photoshop or other editor (there are free online), then crop the image to only show the text, then resize the image to make it bigger. Even if it's still blurry, people will still make out what it says if the degree of blurriness is acceptable.

You can read them if you click the thumbnail to blow each one of them up, but it looks ugly and sloppy/unprofessional with these blurry unreadable text boxes sitting in the post as thumbnails.

Anyway it's just for some dumb thread I was working on so it's not even really that big of a deal. I guess I will just keep trying to resize them in a way that makes the downscaled displayed image within the post as close to readable as possible without having to click on it to blow it up. It's actually looking like I can't make it work at all, because no matter what I do it just goes all blurry when I thumbnail the image no matter how crisp the text was before. o well

You should also use the spoiler tag if there are numerous consecutive images that are just going to make people scroll down for more seconds than usual, because it's annoying for them.

So in essence, full images are fine as long as they're not annoying/cluttered/badly formatted or sized (like you posting a mobile image that is "tall", while no important info is being shown at the top or bottom, so you're just wasting space).

What Null mainly does not want you to do is to resize the image by using the anchors on the image's corners (those squares at the corner), as a substitution for thumbnailing. That is a no go.

In summary: either thumbnail the images properly (by clicking on "Thumbnail"), or post the full image, but if they're too big or if there's too many consecutively, post them fully but spoiler them.
