remember watching the collab Internet Historian did with him, i thought it was pretty funny and he was an ok dude. then when i actually watched his videos, at first they seemed ok a bit stale but ok but he very quickly devolved into left wing insanity.
Unless Youtube rolled out some new tech while I wasn't looking, it's impossible to edit a video after you've uploaded it to the site, or upload a different video in place of an old one. Probably either a pre-emptive ass-covering in response to the drama or an alcoholic mistake.

My best guess on why he didnt jump ship is because Lindsay didnt. The moment he feels he can or is in the position to mock people is when it brings him validation like the Phillip De Franco situation.

The difference between Vee and Quinton is that Vee gets (or got, at some point) paid to be Sargon's most loyal orbiter. He got bank from being an orbiter.
Quinton is an orbiter because he can't help but act like an orbiter. There is zero incentive or net gain for Quinton to behave the way he does towards Contra.
Yeah I don't buy this, it very obvious by the hashtag Quinton took down the video because he was scared of backlash, and he even edited a good three minutes out of content that would gain him any controversy in the hashtag as proof of this. He sure as fuck would not have done that if he truly didn't care, he just covered his ass and now is making a half-assed stance because the hashtag is dying down a bit to get good boy points with contra.
He did the exact same thing with Turkey Tom when he got drama, Quinton unlisted the video and denied any association with it. He only didn't go back because it was not long before the huge stink with Vidcon that turned him into this to begin with and he needed to distance himself with anyone on "the wrong side of history."
Quinton has a repeating behavior of this and most likely when he eventually switches ideologies again (It won't be long, all it is going to take is one breadtuber telling him to fuck off for this to happen) and he will claim to be centrist or some other group name and try to buddy up with that click or whatever new group that may have formed in that time.
Quinton behavior is easy to figure out because it basically gravitates to whoever gives him the most attention and what is popular. He, in essence, is not that much different from a cosplaying camgirl because they both follow the exact same pattern of behavior.
This is why you see him making videos like fallen titans and Garfield because they involve known properties people might belove thus giving Quinton attention towards them which he thrives off of for validation just like the camgirls who dress as overwatch girls do.
Breadtubers and anti-sjw content is dying, you can see this with all their social blades and videos related to it.
Once that boat sinks Quinton will have already been long gone sucking any attention possible out of the new ship he jumped onto where he will disavow Contra and turn on the breadtubers just like he did with the ranters he was once friends with.
He doesn't really care about any of them just only how far and how much attention he can get out of them, that is the truth about Quinton that he cares that much for e-fame he will do anything for it.

Eh, Mauler has his moments of dumbness, like making that One Punch Man analogy in his star wars video was dumb - You're comparing an entire organization that's in a mostly serious storyline which is made up of multiple people to a singular character from a comedy anime/manga, and says that Star Wars should've taken the OPM route of having an overpowered entity for good... Which doesn't work due to shear numbers.

And the only way you can upload a different video is if you are youtube. Anyone remember youtube heroes?

Actually that's a scary thought right there. And call me what you like, but imagine if youtube actually gave that power to creators that are big/align with their views? We know they're capable of doing it... So who knows if they'll do that...

But I'd say that's more forgiving than defending The Last Jedi with Luke's contemplating murder of a sleeping child by drawing comparisons to Luke giving into anger during his fight with Vader. Especially when you omit the footage literally ten seconds later where Luke refuses to kill the defenseless Vader. Quinton saddly falls into the pitfalls of laziness to make his arguments stick.

I do think it’s interesting that he made a video specifically praising Contrapoints, which he never did for any skeptic or really any other Youtuber (apart from maybe Neil Cic?) There’s definitely a strong interest there which I don’t think he ever had for say...Sargon.
I think a sizeable part of it was him seeing somebody better at making videos than him and his empty head seeing a model to emulate/idealise. He saw a new hustle in his YT game, and he was always a content weathervane, swaying in whatever direction he thinks might make his unsuccessful channel get the 1M subs that he feels he deserves. He's like the dweeb at school who pretends to like a band or changes his clothing style to try to worm his way into a new social circle.

Money, 100%. Breadtube's number one suspicion of new people is that of a profit motive despite their common platitude of "ackshully, if I wanted to make money, I would be right wing". They fundamentally understand that there is money to make in reaffirming grievances and pseudo-intellectual thought.
