Which is made even sadder when all other plushies posted at the same time actually outsold him entirely.
Not quite. Allthough Quinton is on the negative side of the line and he certainly is not alone there was just a lot of blunders that were signed (or at least, are going to end) the same day Mini Quinton sees his demise.
Makeship Worst AllTime.PNG

As it stands today Quinton is just ninth-to-last and the second best campaign that didn't make it. As you can see there is a ton of campaigns that end this Friday that failed miserably, including the newest worst performing campaign. That's not even counting the campaigns that still have enough room left to at least not be under Garftube. Quinton couldn't even become the worst just based in all this incompetence.

Quinton only received attention two times. One in the presentation of his plushie that wasn't exclusively his and included two best sellers in RosyClozy and DreadDucky and a single post dedicated to himself without any response and a considerable less amount of likes than the previous post, which seems to make him one of the less promoted or liked people to ever get a campaign.

honestly if the leafy and watchmen videos perform anywhere near as badly as his tiktok one (less than 100k views in a week), i wouldn't be shocked if he, at the very least, goes on indefinite hiatus. he seems to be in a very volatile state because it's dawning on him that he's past his incredibly modest and barely notable peak in popularity. he's hedging a lot on these videos doing well and proving that he's not completely irrelevant.

Holy shit quinton due to the extension is now not going to be the worst-selling campaign of all time, holy shit he got saved by the website for his incompetency to do basic marketing.

But he still is not going to make it to that goal, but damn that could have been a good teaching moment for Quinton that he may need to change things because it litterally making him the worst at everything he does now.

But now he just going to twist it as "oh everyone else did bad too because the economy is bad," and ignore any fault on his part entirely...like he always does.

The issue with Quinton is that he really needs to keep his politics out of his videos and realize that people want to watch him review things rather than know him personally. Quinton could've been successful if he just kept his politics isolated on twitter (even if they were as extreme the average subscriber wouldn't really notice) and was savvy enough to just keep doing what he did. For example, there are lots of very popular youtubers with very liberal views who still have lots of views with each video and that's because they don't interject their political beliefs within them like Quinton does, especially with Quinton shooting himself in the foot by trying to get everyone to the right of him to unsubscribe. This also extends to how Quinton will drop good opportunities to spread his platform out by dropping any association with youtubers for edgy political views which makes Quinton look like an untrustworthy person even to the people he sucks up too since it's a universal agreement that no one likes someone who could easily double cross you if they believe they can gain from it.

Then there are his non-review videos (like his video about dreams, his Garfield plush fiasco, and the Vidcon videos) and I don't think Quinton is an interesting enough person to get to know personally, of course if Quinton had amazing talents beyond reviewing things like singing, cooking, or any animation talent that maybe could've worked, or at least if he had the comedic chops for it like how Mumkey does his blog style videos back when he was at his peak it could work. Quinton is really just a normal boring guy when he is just himself and it doesn't help he has to restrain himself a lot so it comes across as pretty fake. This is due to the bloated ego of when he went to Vidcon and got it in over his head of how important he believed himself to be.

Of course this is preaching to the choir but it really shows that having basic common sense could've saved Quinton and he probably could've been much better if he stuck to where he was with reviewing things instead of making boring vlog type videos and constantly gloating about he hates Trump to people he encourages to not subscribe to him.

We’re well past that by now. People like Daft Pina and Turkey Tom have made videos about Quinton doing that shit years ago, and of course he’s kind of gone on to just treat it as being nothing but “da haterz” going after em. Speaking of haters, his excuse for not initially using his community tab to help signal boost his failing plush campaign was because some of his “hater subscribers“ might notice that they’re still subbed and thus will unsubscribe in mass. Just think about that for a moment: Quinton is so truly insecure and pathetic to where his biggest concern is losing a couple thousand subscribers (tops) that don’t even like him versus successfully funding his campaign that his loyal fans are genuinely willing to support. It’s been said before, but it can never be said enough: Quinton is and always will be his own worst enemy. The man has nobody but himself to blame.

Quinton is and always will be his own worst enemy. The man has nobody but himself to blame.
This is Quinton's biggest problem, every single time he gets an opportunity besides to backstab someone he always ruins it via his own insecurity. If he truly tried he could've made the plush sell to the goal (probably barely), but he was too anxious to even post on the community tab because he might lose some subscribers. There's a reason why youtubers with merch promote it all the time, every single video. That's because it's the best way to sell it, you need to keep reminding your audience about it. Quinton lost that opportunity because of his aforementioned insecurity.

If Quinton ever wanted to really restructure his channel, or just to make a project he wanted to do successful, he would need to get over his sorry ass and commit to it, and in general take initiative once in a while. It's Quinton though so he wouldn't do that if it would save the world.

That's the problem with modern politics.

It makes people feel like they're obligated to push their agenda, because to them, the fate of the world is at stake, and silence is compliance.

Is this really the best he could do?
Yes.

It's so pathetic. Anyone with half a brain should realize that hate subs are not something you should be concerned with hanging on to (unless you're DarkSydePhil), especially when they don't even watch your videos. Short term nothing, long term loss.

I knew the TikTok one failed, but I didn't realise that's his highest performing video since Hamilton

I often find myself fascinated with cows such as Quinton because they reflect certain aspects of myself I despise. People like him are a reminder of the importance of constant introspection. His problems stem from the fact that he refuses to acknowledge his flaws, so he can't correct them.

That said, he is probably one of the least bad people I have seen here on the farms. He can still redeem himself, in my eyes. The question is: will he do it?

Going off these discord leaks, it already seems like he expects them to flop. It's his history channel videos that he thinks will bring in interest again. If those flop then he will definitely have no idea what to do.

That's what I find insane. So you have people who hate your content and who you hate in-turn, but you still want to cultivate and hang onto said people who hate your work.

I kind of disagree with you there. I don't think it's a matter of him being too anxious or not trying hard enough to make the campaign succeed. And I also wouldn't blame the global pandemic that's been impacting people's incomes, as let's be honest: A lot of people have extra money to spend on games and other extraneous shit these days. Many of them are just not going to shell out $25 + extra fees for a plush of a semi-popular YouTuber* at this time (or ever due to shipping costs being absurdly pricey). The bigger issue imo involves two major factors, that being popularity and "marketability."

The prior is pretty self-explanatory. A dedicated + large fanbase could make the campaign easily successful. Like with this one example I found on their site, I didn't find the plush to be all that interesting, though it's clear that there was a strong following coming from the guys fanbase to get it funded with plenty of time to spare:

*If you're already very popular, not even a global pandemic will stop your merch sales from happening.

That factor is arguably outside of Quinton's control, as popularity can be a very fickle thing. That leads us to the latter factor, which involves creating merch that goes beyond your identity as a YouTuber. Best example I think of is Elvis the Alien, who's worked with artists to create all sorts of cool apparel designs:
Ayylien-Vaporwave-Tee-Pink-Front-Updated-Resized-V2_1024x1024@2x.pngAyylien-BionicGirl-Crewneck-Black-Front-Resized_1024x1024@2x.png

Granted, I assume Makeshift is all about selling a plush to represent yourself as the creator/entertainer, so he might not have been able to make a new character design for a plush that wasn't of himself. Regardless, if the fanbase isn't big nor dedicated enough to support him, and the plush/merch/whateverthefuck isn't worth buying on its own, of course this campaign was (or technically is) bound to fail.

EDIT:

I can promise you that he'd much rather get rid of his "le-edgy nazi meme anime avatar" subscribers, yet instead feels like he needs to keep his sub numbers from declining. Or at the very least, he doesn't want people that used to like his channel to realize that they're still subscribed and unsub from it.

So he cares more for his sub count falling than getting rid of what he perceives to be bad people? I honestly wouldn't put it past him.

This reminds me of one of those fan subreddits that basically only exists for criticizing and making fun of the person in question because they fell so far. If you look closely even Quinton commented on this.

Qoomrade Qlinton is big mad that his subreddit is dying and the only post made in the last 2 days is calling attention to ways to improve his channel.

He doesn't know how to mod his own subreddit. IMAGINE MY SHOCK.
I understand that he just doesn't want his subcount to keep receding but if he really has that many inactive subs, YouTube is going to purge them anyway at some point. And it doesn't seem that "da haterz" are active enough judging by his like/dislike ratio to matter. Q is just trapped with the most dedicated of his fanbase left and is not enough to make a difference. Not even Reddit tier people can claim him anymore.

EDIT: Someone called Quinton out on his TikTok video and I think this might get purged too. (A)

Quinton on Reddit: "You made yourself look like an ass for caring about this."
