Let's talk consistency in uploads. Is something you need to have if you want a healthy Internet presence. You can't just upload whatever you feel like doing but you also can't just wait for something big to drop your way. Many times during the Quew Crisis we watched different variations of the format of planned videos and time and time again we have seen them fail. For those unaware, youtubers do bounce between several projects at a time but we are talking not more than five. Quinton plans months in advance just to see how unprepared he is to adjust and ends up rarely delivering, being on the massive dropout after the History Channel videos or the two Fallen Titans episodes that were teased but never delivered.
As it was leaked before Quinton brought memorabilia from the Jimmy Carter campaign, now it seems that he is questioning if it was a good idea in favor of something more obviously trendy. The second one has to be the most Brendaniel larping I have seen from Quinton in a long time.

Y'know, I will concede, but not by much. I have already posted why Quinton's design is so abhorrent to me but his upcoming work allows me to show you even further why he should just buy a course in Skillshare. Since
@Who Vile mentioned Mars Reviews, he will be our control to measure thumbnails.
Here's Quinton's. (

Here's Mars's.
Both use Andrew W.K. and both are very simple but in different levels. Mars only uses one unaltered promotional frame, it doesn't stand out as much as Quinton's but it doesn't need to be, and that at it's core is my main problem with Quinton's thumbnails. All feel filled with unnecessary elements. Quinton could fix his thumbnail by getting rid of the text to allow his design to speak for itself or even change the Reanimated characters for the CN logo, even Stuart Snyder who was the responsible for the existence of the block to begin with. To be clear, text can work for thumbnails but most people scrolling on their phones can't be assed to read it and design is a visual media, if you have to spell the meaning of it you are not trying.
At the end of the day what matters is how many views you can get. So, if Quinton's thumbnails are so good why his views are tanking so bad?
Is very easy to forget how many people are doing the exact same thing as you when all you do is engage in circlejerking and self bullying to call your legions of dozens of fans to calm your broken ego.
Let's jump to another example which I think is less subjective. (

I think most of you have seen the Spongebob episode this comes from, so I hope you are as offended as I am because Quinton thinks this is an improvement. Not only the text covers half the thumbnail but this Spongebob has shadows that clash too much with the background. Allow me to go full autist here but this could work if we could pretend the shinning Nickelodeon logo is why only half of Spongebob face is lit but they are at the same height. Then he goes from a pumpkin orchard to just plain purple, which is supposed to be an improvement. I would have replaced the text with more characters (like Luna Loud from TLH or the Fright Knight from Danny Phantom or something orange like the pumpkin mecha from FOP) and use a softer tone to not work against them.
To cap this update of I will inform you that
My Garfield Vacation has been made public again after the copyright claim didn't act and
Q decided to post this too. (

As for
Good Media Criticism: Kiwi Edition 5 I will try to gain my respect back instead of getting the other thing.
1)
MarsReviews (97.3k): I did my man dirty for too long. Despite sitting in the back of my head since the beginning of this segment I failed to give him a well deserved shout out, especially since he endured a hacking that costed him his original channel. Mars reviews cartoons with a very laid back style far from taking himself too seriously but in case you want to see his real self he has a podcast with Glem Walker, another black animation reviewer, called
Half & Half which in case you didn't notice the name is a reference to themselves and their melanin levels. Kino watches:
The Rise and Fall of Mc Skat Cat,
Mars Talks About A Gorilla Movie For 11 Minutes and
Cleveland Show Review.
2)
NICKtendo (158k): NICKtendo has to be the posterboy of animation reviewers that don't take themselves too seriously (sadly an ever increasing epidemic) whose main gimmick is owning to liking some rather unpopular media including cartoons that made the likes of Mr Enter scream in anguish 8 years ago. NICK on the other hand focuses on highlighting the good in everything and increasing the popularity of zoomer nostalgia. He has to be one of the best writers I have seen in a long time doing cartoon reviews. Kino watches:
The History & Legacy of Johnny Test,
Why Fanboy and Chum Chum is an Underrated Classic and
Top 10 Weirdest Jimmy Neutron Episodes.
3)
Awkwardly Animated (24.7k): Each year dozens of western animation reviewers are forced to become anitubers, Awkwardly Animated has become the lastest addition to this stadictic, the struggle is real. If you feel like adding a new person to your watchlist you could try with someone with Pan Pizza's editing and design minus the spergery and powerlevel with the same soul and passion of the already shilled Tariq who has gained most of his views with SU memes. I will only recommend his western animation videos because Q might declare war of anime. Kino watches:
DreamWorks Long Lost Film | Larrikins,
Ugly Americans Was Underrated and
Tuca and Bertie | Review.
