Surprised I haven’t stumbled upon these videos till now, seeing as this is apparently the 2nd or 3rd video from Strange Æons talking about the now defunct restaurant that is/was Garfield Eats. I’m only 2 minutes into the video and already she’s unintentionally throwing a ton of indirect shade at Quintion:
The whole branding of [Garfield Eats] was an absolute mess. Like the target audience was like, someone who was:
#1. A whore for capitalism who would buy random overpriced shit just because it had Garfield on it, but 2. Also very environmentally and ethically conscious, and also an epic gamer who was gonna spend hours on the “enter-gaging” (that’s engaging and entertaining) Garfield app. And also possibly a child. But also nostalgic for a cartoon that peaked decades ago. Like I don’t even know anyone my age who remembers Garfield as anything but like unfunny boomer-humor comic strips...?
[Adds on a few fan-related projects as exceptions]
...But also is super woke and up with the technology, and, intrigued by innovative business models like... Takeout.

Him and Strange have the same big glasses, floppy ears and random subtle criticisms towards capitalism, but in her case, the “a broken clock is right twice a day” mantra works here.

EDIT: Messed up the sentence by calling a Quinton a “her”. Though knowing Q, he’d probably wouldn’t mind since he identifies as it after all.

She's got a certain aesthetic, certainly, but she actually is receiving an education and comes off as somewhat intelligent. And since she exclaims her lesbianism, I don't find the argument that her appearance evidences her as just another grifting e-thot that convincing.

Quinton alternatively is slow, greasy, unfunny, has put in literally no effort ever into constructing an aesthetic style, clearly uneducated and unintelligent, and engages constantly in a grift—though he may have convinced himself that his SJW grift is actually virtue, it's pretty obvious to me. I mean, hasn't this thread shown multiple times that he organizes his entire video production around getting views and appealing to "the algorithm"? I don't believe for a second Aeons makes any content that she doesn't personally want to, so I immediately have way more respect for her than than the Q-tard.

Strange has a very consistent style and a stable fanbase (old-guard tumblr users mostly), and her videos are usually good quality. You can tell that she puts thought and time into what she does, but her work still comes across as quite casual and she seems like a nice person. It's funny to compare her witn Quinton because they actually have a lot in common content-wise (slightly rambling delivery, reading off the phone, goofy 'ironic' interests, obvious lefties) except Strange clearly isn't trying to impress anyone while Quinton is still desperatly trying to get the cool breadtubers to like him.
The difference between their current situations really highlights the fact that Quinton failed to pin down a core fanbase or a specific demographic. 'Media criticism' is such an oversaturated market, and Quinton's output is too low-quality to compare with the likes of Rebel Taxi or Schaffrillas (to saw nothing of the breadtube guys). Quinton's videos are so bland and generic, they're made to be put on in the background and ignored which si fine if you're just lookijg for views, but he clearly wants validation from a group of loyal fans, and he's not gonna get that with this sort of generic video.

Something about Quinton's line delivery or inflection makes me uncomfortable. He hasn't got a particularly nice voice anyway, which is definitely a handicap but not an insurmountable one (Hbomb sounds fucking awful), but that sort of sing-song rising-falling too close to the microphone whine sets my teeth on edge.
Also, what an unoriginal idea for a video.

She's been mentioned in the thread before. Didn't Quinton try to get her to notice him because of their similarities (and she either completely ignored him or brushed him off)? Or was the thread pointing out that it was strange that they haven't interacted even though they both have the "LOL Garfield" schtick?

You might be confusing Strange(?) with some other girl, cause i dont remember her being brought up in this thread before, nor having some sort of Garfield schtick. Though do correct me if I’m wrong on that.

Maybe the latter? She's acknowledged his existence but doesn't seem interested in talking to him, probably because she can smell the desperation a mile away.

Unoriginal and way too long. If the video was 7 minutes long, this blend of a tedious skeptic style video essay and a WatchMojo list topic might be easy to stomach, but half an hour? Nobody is going to sink that much time into hearing Quinton tell us that parody songs can borrow too much from the source.

I never thought that I would side with WatchMojo over Quinton over wanting to make a video like this. Man, this is reaching insanity levels that I didn’t think we’re possible.

Quinton was also considering a sonic bootleg episode for a subscriber special and he got introduced to Ken Penders and his “project”

It was Strange. That has been confirmed as she has gotten mentions by both Q and his fans tons of times. Last time on this very thread was this one. Their fan bases overlap but Strange has the self aware ones.
Aight kiwis, as you might have already realised the Review Nation has already reached its demographic goals. How does Orange Coomrade respond to this? He will continue this cycle, whether he wants to admit it or not he already has sinked his career in a bizarre contradiction. He sees his audience as just numbers while simultaneously having a parasocial relationship with it. Ever since I setup a bot on his Twitter account he has not lived a single day without pointing out his subcount and lowkey bragging about it. You can just go to his Twitter to see it or I can hand you my bot since there are so many of them it seems redundant to bother.

What really made me come back after my finals were two things:
1) Q and Worthikids made a Rankin-Bass video together. (Fucking site doesn't let me upload my archive so let's see how I avoid giving him any views on his worst performing video since the first half of the year.)

2) Salty is getting "cancelled" and Q, as the good YouTube friend he is, cannot help but make it about himself (A):

And since he is an expert on this, he has decided to further make it about himself. (A)

All of these were responses to the same tweet. As if he couldn't help but gloat at the fact that he is such an afterthought for the rest of the Internet that he was allowed to move on and keep his shitty political dogma to himself. That he could only get to that point after months of guilting his fan base into helping him resurrect his channel. Imagine being so delusional, so out of touch about what happened, that you think making one or two references to The Conquest of Bread and Anita Sarkeesian are "obscure political reference" you used to show how much of a bunch of hacks your guppies actually are.
I can't help but imagine that he thinks this is the case not only because he has been telling himself that lie for two years but also because LS Mark among many others had to play nice to him because they feared they pushed someone to the edge of his life.

it is now crystal clear why those 2 interact regularly, stable people don't tend to go on long, overly personal public meltdowns just because they don't know how to set the tone for "politics joke" so it won't annoy people in their comedy video

they're both obsessed with the "culture" of youtube and video creators so i for real don't understand why they can't figure it out by now. like nearly everyone else is capable of not fucking up the path of
  • make joke about political figure/place/event
  • if it wasn't funny enough to fit in without annoying people, ignore annoyed people like an adult would
  • if somehow unable to do THAT, just don't "i'm REALLY NOT UPSET everyone ELSE is upset" like a teenage girl in public
  • failing all else just don't base your brand and personality on that single meltdown for years of your life
if you want to be famous or whatever, why the fuck would you even remotely care enough about the people that watch the stuff you make to the point where you fuck up every single step of this process? do they think they just have a LOT of friends? a parasocial relationship with a faceless random assortment of people?

I never thought it would be possible to side with Billy D from OneAngryGamer over this, and I’ll never understand this “I don’t like to let my YT career/videos define me as a person” excuse. Who is the one that told you to go on long tangents of political rambling? And why would you make this as a hill or a career for you to die on?

I don't understand why he can't honestly express when he's mad. Constantly sarcastic, constantly adding "lmao" to sentences like he's Ethan Ralph. It doesn't hide that you're mad, it just makes you look uncomfortable with yourself and your emotions.
