I have made a rather disturbing discovery which I don't think has been mentioned before, since a search for "TheRealJims" came up with nothing in this thread.
You may or may not be familiar with TheRealJims. He does reviews and discussion videos on The Simpsons. If you're a big Simpsons fan I would recommend his work
He did 3 videos covering The Simpsons past, present and future and how those fit into the continuity of the show as a whole, and how to explain the floating timeline.
The past was released Dec 13, 2016, the present Jan 17, 2017 and the future Feb 22, 2017
Here is the video for the present, timestamped for the relevant part:
He says in this video "or maybe it's just completely seperate universes altogether, like in that Time and Punishment short. Maybe that toaster holds the secret to the entire series. Maybe Homer just kept bouncing around from place to place and there's just an infinate number of Simpsons universes"
Quniton's "A Toaster Fixes The Simpson's Canon" came out Oct 30, 2017, and has become the seventh most popular video on his channel. It has no references to TheRealJims in the video, nor the description. There is no doubt in my mind that this theory was "inspired" (stolen) from TheRealJims. He isn't a huge channel, and was smaller at the time, but he was the premier Simpsons content creator on youtube (not including creators who made one or a handful of videos on the topic). If you're a big Simpsons fan and avid youtube viewer you would be extremely likely to be aware of him, I certainly was way before 2017.
There's not evidence that he, without a shadow of a doubt saw TheRealJims video. However I absolutely think that he saw Jim's smart little observation which he covered for all of 20 seconds, streched it into a 10m video, and sat on it until he could shit it out that october as an easy halloween video. I don't think he intended or anticipated it would blow up into one of his most popular or he probably would have put more polish on it.
Rewatching Quniton's toaster video and waiting for the shoutout which I was sure was coming, but never came was extremely tedious. Most frustrating is how smug he is at 6:48 and the last 30 seconds of the video about the smart idea he stole wholesale from a smaller creator.
