🤝 Community Quiverfull Movement Lolcows - Starring the Duggars

Sorry but I woke up MATI over this shit.

That little girl deserved better. Every woman in that fucking family does, I don't care how shitty they are. I am so glad this victim has the dad she does and I literally pray that no more come forward.
I really hope that every girl who has ever been within 10km of any male Duggar learns about this, and has a supportive adult who will explicitly explain that this is wrong, and never her fault. And that the very best thing to do is to tell. Every time.

Let’s not forget mother of the year Jana whose the two year old child she was babysitting was found wandering near a highway.

Instead of being panicked that her the child she was entrusted with could have been smashed like roadkill, relieved that it was unharmed, and upset with herself that she was negligent, she at first denied knowing who the child was and was uncooperative when first contacted.

Yeah. No decent human does this.

Calling them lizards in human skin is an insult to lizards.

Yup. I believe that group calls it a "prayer closet."
Features of the 'very best' ones include: No heating or cooling, no decoration (maybe a bible, but too bad, you're a fundie so you can't read it for yourself!), hardwood floor with a good scattering of uncooked rice, soundproofing (if possible) and, most importantly, sturdy locks on the outside of the doors to make the little bitch stay inside til she learns to do as shes told by a man encourage reluctant children to become ardent in their fasting and praying to God.

Ah, you’re right. It wasn’t hers but she was babysitting it and was responsible for its safety. She’s still a piece of shit.
Yeah, if my memory serves, it was one of the M kids (Josh and Anna’s kids). Think it happened when the latest one was a baby so I wanna say it was Maryella?

I can’t exactly sympathise with Jana because while 6 or so kids to 1 person is a dangerous ratio (and is why the Duggars started handing off their kids to the older ones) she still should have been keeping an especially close eye on the littlest ones.

I think the standard ratio at places like nurseries here in the UK is 3 children to 1 adult, at least it was when my middle two went there. Realistically there should be a law or something that says “there can only be X amount of children under the supervision of a single adult at any time or it’s tantamount to child neglect/endangerment” but that’ll probably never happen.

Washington County got a no contact order on behalf of the kids regarding Kendra. This is from a gossip rag, but looks legit to me.

And the affidavit from the detective in FL.

Eta Along with the no contact order is the implication of either state custody or emergency kinship placement. This is really good for these kids, it means maybe for the first time in their lives they will see a pediatrician, a dentist and an actual licensed therapist at a minimum. These visits can always lead to more neglect/dependency charges, but again this is AR so the bar is in hell.

They will also make sure the kids have all their documentation. One of the insidious things about homebirths is they straight up don't register them sometimes. Especially if it's a girl. This was a high profile family but still. It happens more often than you'd think.

Joe continues to be a clueless retard. Kendra seems to be at least passively supportive of her pedo headship, unfortunate but unsurprising.

That, or disassociating/on a heavy enough dose of Xanax that her only emotion left is dull surprise.

According to the media, and per Kendra's phone call with Joseph after she was released from jail, she's hiding out with the kids in a secluded location with the kids.

Also according to media, Joseph has been released. He's not in custody in Florida. Neither washington county, AR or BCSO, FL are commenting. If he gets off I will lose my shit.

No, she isn't with the kids and she very specifically does not mention them during the call. They are either in emergency foster placement or kinship placement and will be until at least their second family court hearing. Travis is repping her in a dependency/neglect case which is...a choice. Does AR not have specializations? Why is she using a crim guy for her family law case?

Joe is being arraigned at 10 est in Bay County, his vinelink is already live I think. They just weren't allowed to comment on him while he was in transit for security reasons.

Kendra specifically doesn't mention the kids in the phone call (Joe tells her immediately to watch what she says, they're being recorded). I'm guessing she's at Anna's? There is a also a weird moment about her picking up his phone...because she doesn't know any of the passwords to his bank accounts, etc and can't pay for anything (yikes). And Joe gets very weird about it and tells her to talk to Travis about it first.

The good news: if they took his phone they definitely did a digital search given the nature of his crime. So if he had CSAM at least they know now, and further charges will come down the pipe. The kids aren't with her. Justice is moving albeit slowly.

These two speak like they met last week, how tf do they share four children...

Well this is good news, and I feel much better. Yesterday's reports were dismal.

As far as the kids go, media reports kids can be heard in the background of the call, but they could belong to Anna or whomever she's staying with.

Joe's hair and little smile makes it look like he's trying to look younger than his 31 years, maybe to avoid adult consequences?

I do wonder a bit about the timeline of everything. He bad-touches a kid, apologizes, then years later gets charged with the crime? Why now and not then? Did something change?

She's staying with Joy Anna and Austin. That's the house Michelle chased that TikTok guy away from after she bailed Kendra out. It was WOACB who originally posted about it. While she's usually not always accurate about rumors this one was easy to confirm through public records and comparing all the house renovation content Joy has posted with the house listing photos.

That weird wad of hair in the middle of his forehead is ridiculous (and vilely greasy). He looks like squiggy.
I think he probably grew it out to do some kind of combover type hairstyle where he strategically arranges the long pieces to cover his bald spots on the sides. If I were going to commit crimes, I'd personally choose a hairstyle that didn't make me look like a child rapist, but I guess he wasn't thinking that far ahead.

He had his Florida hearing.

Bail - $500k for Molestation, $100k for Lewd and Lavicious.

JB is in town ready to pay, there's a no contact order for his victim, and he's not allowed to be unsupervised with any minors under 18.

His next Florida court appearance is scheduled for April 20th at 9:00am.

If the victim/her family are/were fellow IBLP people, their beliefs blame the victims for molestation and rape. They also consider it a lesson from god. (they're warped af) Additionally, I don't know if their purity culture includes "licked cupcake" and "chewed gum" metaphors like the Mormons.

She probably felt a lot of guilt and shame and was too embarrassed to admit it at the time. Maybe with age she found the words and strength to admit it.

There’s also the possibility that at only 9 she couldn’t really comprehend the situation beyond “this makes me feel weird and gross”. It may be that it took until age 14 for her to realize that what happened was actually a serious crime.

Unfortunately, even a lot of secular normie parents neglect having important conversations with their kids about personal boundaries or how to identify predatory behavior. Ultrafundies are too concerned with preventing front hugs before marriage to worry about things like child molesters wandering around their massive broods of kids that are impossible to properly supervise. She likely had to figure this out entirely on her own, and I hope she knows it’s not her fault.

I think this is correct - at 9 it would have been incomprehensible but by 14 she probably would have at least been told what menstruation was and started picking up other things from gossip, even if she wasn't given The Talk. It's also possible that there may have been health consequences that weren't as apparent until she started going through puberty.
