Some retard on Twitter is trying to identify the victim, and claims the victim is Kendra’s sister (which was debunked very early on)

So take this with a giant grain of salt, but supposedly the kids are with Jason and Maddie, who is in the middle of her student teaching at a public school somewhere in NWA. They were the ones who wrote the particularly good/harsh statement. Also other than Justin and Claire, they're the only married kids without children. And they don't live on the compound.
 
Kendra’s father, Paul Caldwell, has set up a GoFundMe for the family. He’s asking for $24,000 toward legal fees and housing.


My family is facing a difficult and urgent situation. We are in need of support to cover legal fees and secure safe housing. This has been an incredibly stressful time, and we are doing everything we can to protect ourselves and move forward.

Woah. Legal fees? They don't pay anything for prosecution and they don't need their own attorney (if the victim is a family member, I mean). Are they trying to get custody of Kendra's kids? Are they suing regarding their eviction from Joe and Kendra's house? I am so confused...

And it's yet another fundie dude who won't work to support his million kids. It would be fascinating if it weren't so goddamn sad and common.

Also on the 'who is Greg' front (Kendra flipped out at Joe in one of the phone calls and told him not to talk to Greg) may have been Greg Payne, who works for the same firm as Travis Story. He was on Josh's defense team but isn't on Joe's as far as we know. I wonder if Kendra is worried Josh/Greg is going to try to incriminate Joe for Josh's crimes? Is she smart enough to think that far ahead?

E: at least Dad Caldwell (Paul?) has worked recently, he's some kind of general construction guy at a firm in NWA. They had a pic of him on the subreddit from their website but the mods took it down.

So Amy Paul, a fundie-adjacent who also recently turned in her son-in-law (Carver Bowers) for crimes to a child under 12 years old similar to Joseph, has brought to light some more details about what has gone on between the Caldwells and the Duggars. She's been in Arkansas helping them move out in a hurry. Some of the younger Duggars are known to be friends with Carver and his wife Haley (Amy's daughter).

She confirms that it was Paul Caldwell who turned in Joe, which in turn confirms the identity of the victim based on prior reporting and speculation.
The Caldwells been evicted, and the Duggars turned off their power and water during the 30 days they were given to leave.
The Caldwells were then visited by DHS (DCFS?) after receiving a report of child abuse during this time.
No Duggars are helping the Caldwells.
The Caldwells want Kendra to leave and divorce Joe.
Calls out Jim Bob for turning Kendra into another Anna, making her totally dependent on him financially so she can't leave.

Wait so Kendra’s parents were renting from the Duggars, and Kendra and her kids were living there with her parents after the charges came out? the Duggars shut off water and electricity to the property, so Kendra’s kids were taken (and also 4 other Caldwell kids, maybe?) is that right?

No, Kendra's parents have been living in/renting a house owned by Joe and Kendra for years, even though it seems Kendra has been distant from her family for a while. Kendra and Joe mentioned on a jail call that the Duggars were going to make sure Kendra's family were out of that house within a month. Now we know the Duggars were willing to play dirty to make that happen. Joe and Kendra, or whichever Duggars are currently helping them in the midst of Joe and Kendra's legal issues, shut off the utilities on the Caldwells and their kids. The Caldwells have multiple unmarried grown children as well as minor children still living at home.
Someone then called in a report of child abuse on the Caldwells resulting in a visit. By this time Kendra had already been arrested and had her kids removed. Amy Paul was heavily hinting that they all believe the call to DCFS was some kind of petty retaliation on part of the Duggars, trying to get the Caldwells in trouble with DCFS the same way Kendra and Joe are.
This is all extra fucked up when you realize Joe's victim is now also victim to this targeted harassment campaign by the Duggar goon squad because her parents actually turned in the molester and are advocating for Kendra to leave Joe instead of rug sweeping it like the Duggars normally do.
 
I don't want to fedpost so I'll just say, with this new information, I really wish the worst on Boob and Meech. I hope they never live this down and that they're forbidden to see their grandchildren, humiliated by the press, and hounded by TikTok retards until the stress kills them. Isn't this legally actionable if the Caldwells can easily prove that this was intentional? Especially if some paperwork or an actual contract was signed as an binding document for the lease.

But they'd have to be willing to file against them for anything to happen.
I'm not so sure they'll bring any outsider into this unless they have no choice, like law enforcement/DCF etc.

Allowing them to live rent-free on the property is essentially a gratuitous gift between family, and that’s generally not enforceable as a contract. I highly doubt there was a lease. However, it looks like Arkansas considers free-rent family to be like month-to-month tenants, meaning the act of turning off the utilities would be considered an attempt at a “quiet eviction” or forced eviction. That’s not legal.

They should sue. They won’t.

Not sure exactly when it happened but the URL and description on the GoFundMe has been changed to exclude its use for legal fees.
