The teacher did nothing wrong, but should not leave the incorrect information up.
Yeah the teacher had good intentions but leaving fake information up like that from a place of authority could harm students outside of their class if they were to research that information.

Of course it's likely fake but could be real.

At this point I doubt every story coming from reddit. This one sounds like it could be true though.

That could be true as it is too elaborate and specific to be fake which makes it worse as Quizlet is meant to be a study website. While teenagers are lazy and the redditors are acting like dramatic fags, Quizlet is a necessary study tool for many students.

Yeah there has to be a better way. If anything if cheating online is that big a deal just tell people to leave their phones with you at the front until they're done, or something.

I think the issue with online cheating now is that there are classes online which makes it even easier to cheat.

Oh man I completely forgot about that. Honestly that's got to be shit for public schools. I do think his solution was effective in that case. Releasing the fake quizlet minutes before the test means nobody who was gonna study it would get it. And he did say he made all the answers wrong, which is statistically difficult to achieve by pure guesswork.

Really they just need to stop this zoom exam/online class bullshit and let kids learn normally again.

Well people using it to actually study would hopefully notice that the information is completely wrong and go "wait, that's not right" and discard it.

Yeah, and I still can't see why anyone who was legitimately trying to do things right would study a couple minutes before a test out of new material. They'd probably have their own notes.

A 19-year-old is fed up with babysitting her 12-year-old little brother.

She went on Reddit’s “Am I the A******” forum after telling her mom her brother wasn’t her responsibility. The unemployed teenager was saddled with looking after her brother while he was homeschooled due to the pandemic. The only trouble was her brother isn’t exactly well-behaved.

“My mom is a single mom and an essential worker, she works in a special needs school and at the moment they really need her to be in at least three days a week,” the Reddit poster said. “This means my brother is allowed to attend school those three days a week. However, recently my brother has demanded that he gets to stay home like everyone else because his friends aren’t at school and it’s no fun and he’d rather homeschool. So she’s let him.”

The sister is immunocompromised and can’t work, so her mother assumed she would be able to look after her brother.

“Even when she is home his behavior is disgusting,” the sister wrote. “He yells and calls her every name under the sun and is loud. My mom received an angry phone call today saying that my brother has not been attending his online classes and has not been doing any work at all. She tried to talk to him and said maybe he’ll need to go back to school and he said, you can’t make me I’ll just run off and skip school and then called her a b****. I said ‘please send him back to school. I am not childcare for him and he doesn’t do any schoolwork or listen to me and he’s so loud I can’t cope’ She said […] I do nothing for her and I should be nicer to my brother because I’m a horrible sister.”

Reddit users sided with the sister on this one.
“He’s not your responsibility,” one person said.
“She can’t get him under control and somehow wants you to get him under control?” another wrote.
“He sounds like a brat,” someone said.

It abruptly ends like that. No I'm not joking

The sister is immunocompromised and can’t work

From an admittedly tiny sample size of "humans I know in real life", immunocompromised women can work with proper precautions, they just don't want to because they are at increased risk and don't trust the people they have to interact with at work to not give them turboaids. I'm surprised there's no mention of how terrified she is that her mother goes outside and risks bringing the plague back home three days a week.

I said ‘please send him back to school.

I'm even more shocked she wants to send her own brother out into the world where he too can contract the virus. Sure he might be a brat and she might not care about his well being, but surely she doesn't want him getting her sick? If she doesn't care about his health, maybe care about her own?

Is being immunocompromised really the reason she can't work? She's clearly not concerned about minimizing her own exposure to risk.

She should take the hint and get a job in order to get away from her brother. The other options are to be responsible for herself and move out on her own or to be a complete asshole and demand her Mother quit her job that is supporting the whole family in order to take care of her brother... We all know which one she'll go with along with while hearing the praises of social media.
