r/antiwork - Yes, it's exactly what it sounds like.

How will society function without jobs?

Who knew the meme I made would be relevant again so quickly:

I love how this is a quote from an early piece written about /r/antiwork yet they contradict this almost immediately in the interview. Can't even keep their own narrative straight.

What do we do?

There's a good chance it's already too late. It's hard to stop momentum. We already have people working to weaken this subreddit's radical roots, either because they genuinely believe that's what needed or because they're bad actors.

Some things that might help are:

  • Make the anarchist or radical leftist roots more visible and explicit
  • intellectual charity should be extended to those that are either more or less radical than you but still broadly compatible with anti-work ideas
  • It might be useful to strive for a community that at least understands or is willing to understand the radical lineage of the subreddit
  • Attempts to either create a central list of demands/goals or to centralize leadership should be vehemently opposed. This includes people attempting to speak for /r/antiwork and its users
  • The community should have zero tolerance for any reactionary rhetoric, including (seemingly) well-meaning attempts at class reductionism

Yes please double down on the political idealogy, that wont alienate most of working America.

Do these guys set out to fulfil the stereotypes people have about them in every possible way?
If not for the paper trail proving the tranny janny's existence, there could be a credible conspiracy theory that this was a /pol/ psy-op to destroy the movement from within.

Antiwork tranny janny lol

I cringed so hard my spine is in a million pieces, this is funny and horrifying at the same time. What the hell were they thinking sending that guy to do the interview, their 'best'. It's like they took a random shizo off the street and propped him in from of a camera

The salt on reddit over this will be glorious, this idiot probably killed any legitimacy this movement may have had

Now they're holding a poll to remove him as mod.

Lol yeah, it's the ugly manlet tranny janny that's making you guys look like a joke sub. Nothing else about this Subreddit web zone makes it look like a joke.

They should do a poll on this sub to see how many NB/Troons make up the sub; I know they've done shit like that before with income distributions and work type for the various people on the Sub.

Correction: He worked 10 hours/week

Good thing they aren't trying to teach math, just philosophy.

I also love how when they lie, they still lie laughably low. Their was an earlier post where they said something to the effect of "You want me to lie on TV? Yikes wow" when they were suggested to embellish their dog walking career choice.

This subreddit wouldn't bother me, as much as the fact that these guys have completely useless degrees and $120K in debt that they will NEVER pay off, and then look down on tradesman making $60K/year with zero debt because they didn't go to college.

Then they demand Daddy Biden forgive all their debt and have no idea how to live their lives if Biden doesn't; which he won't.

Literally, the only difference between these retards and black women is that black women at least work 40 hours per week in a low-paying job while they look down on blue-collar black men. At least the women that don't sell weaves and nails and call themselves "entrepeneurs." Hell, they probably both weigh the same too, and both groups are going to be homeless when they are 60 years old.

What is the white tranny "female" version of a weave and nail "business"?

Love the shit about "Defunding the police" being better than "reforming the police" because the latter doesn't radically change everything. They don't understand how it's a BAD thing to tell people you want to RADICALLY change EVERYTHING. Especially when MOST PEOPLE are doing just fine. These people make "demands" (lol) for wild changes and think anyone fighting back are siding with the meanies, when all they have to do is make some pretty smart concessions to get anywhere. The adage on the left that you must never make negotiations before you even get to the bargaining table only makes sense if you have a shot at getting to the bargaining table. You will just be laughed out of the room if you say "the police must be abolished and there are no other solutions, so you will be banned for talking about it"

I sympathize with the idea of r/Antiwork. I would love to work 32 hours a week and still be able to support myself and my family. However I think being represented by a guy that walks dogs for 20 hours a week is a bad look. Thats essentially a side job to earn some drinking money.
"You should be paid more for your work, be exploited less for your labor, and work less hours weekly while still being able to survive" would be an almost universally accepted message if someone could deliver it without looking insane or sounding too much like a pinko. By accepting this interview and letting an insane genderblob speak for everyone they probably did irreparable damage to their 'movement', and even they seem to know it.
