it's not even a movement. everyone says its a movement, the subreddit positions itself as a movement, but it's just a monument to the half assed slacktivism that obama used to win an election. look, a movement requires some level of organization and action on part of individuals, and ever since like 2007 or so there's been this insistence that a whole bunch of people with vague coherence of ideas and values is a "movement". that's not a movement, that's a group of people who agree with one another. if you don't fucking do anything with that group sentiment then you're just a bunch of people in a room eating donuts and clapping

Does anyone know if Doreen Ford had any kind of public presence prior to this interview? I found the screencap and it sounds like he was requested for the interview (though based on his comment it sounds like the mod team there would've chosen him as their representative regardless, as it looks like he's given interviews at least in print media very recently). I'm just wondering how Fox could've calculated him as a good choice for this when it looks like there's nothing out there that I can find that shows him as being as retarded as he ended up presenting. There aren't many pictures of him out there from prior to this interview, and it would've been tough to assume how poorly he'd handle himself without there being any other record of how he acts.

Anyone in the loop about what was out there on this guy prior to this interview? Did he act retarded on r/antiwork as a mod (oxymoron, but still). I can see this being a carefully crafted hitpiece if he was a more known individual but I can't find much at least under the name Doreen Ford.
