No, not every tranny is an autogynephile, and actually understanding autogynephilia is key to understanding troons. If you want to dive even deeper, Benjamin Boyce has a couple of great video interviews with Blanchard ("The Life & Research of Dr. Ray Blanchard" and "Stigma and Censorship with Dr. Ray Blanchard"), and if you want books I recommend "Men Trapped in Men's Bodies" by Anne Lawrence (a self-admitted AGP) for a more clinical look, and "Galileo's Middle Finger" for a good read that documents some early instances of trannies getting really angry at being labelled AGPs.

But if you just want the tl;dr, trannies tend to fall into one of two groups: autogynephiles (AGPs) and homosexual transsexuals (HSTSs). HSTSs tend to have displayed feminine behavior as kids, tend to transition at younger ages, tend to have more feminine hobbies and career paths, and as the name implies, tend to be attracted to men, and more specifically, straight men. AGPs however, usually weren't feminine as kids, tend to have more male-typical hobbies and careers, tend to transition in their middle ages (though this may be less true nowadays since being trans is "in"), and almost all of them are straight, and will be "lesbians" after transitioning.

These guys are the ones that get aroused at the thought of themselves as women, and these are also the ones that tend to be upset when you say or do something that implies they aren't. There's a quote from Alice Draeger's excellent book, "Galileo's Middle Finger" (which explores the interactions between scientists and activists), which summarizes it nicely -

There’s a critical difference between autogynephilia and most other sexual orientations: Most other orientations aren’t erotically disrupted simply by being labeled. When you call a typical gay man homosexual, you’re not disturbing his sexual hopes and desires. This is why they keep insisting that they need to be in women's sports, why it's transphobic to have single sex spaces, why it's transphobic to not want to date trans women, etc; it's "invalidating" to live in a society that thinks of trans women as just dysphoric/paraphilic men.

If there's any correlation, it'd probably be general laziness: someone who isn't willing to work is likely not to want to put the minimum effort into taking care of their hygiene. Besides, if you're not working, you probably stay indoor all day, hence no need to groom yourself.
