Honestly, if that workplace was real, they are being nice by simply extending the shifts of tardy employees rather than firing them on the spot. I'd always been taught to be at least 15 minutes early to work, even when I was working retail. The idea of heading to work late and getting mad that you are expected to pick up extra time to compensate just feels wrong to me.

This is either completely fake or of those joke rules that some bosses like to do. Most wagie jobs have a set schedule for staff shifts so there wouldn't be a good place to fit them for make up time if they were late. And if you are still working by the hour for an office gig, then find a new job.

Wanting easier lives for the lowest members of society is a goal I can get behind, but much of the antiwork “movement” (and other lefty/union groups) are impotent at best and often make things worse for the people they’re (supposedly) trying to help.

Instead of trying to help each other or organize any sort of productive activism which has a chance of making a difference most of them spend all their time complaining to anyone lethargic enough to listen and try to convince each other that there’s nothing wrong with being a failure and not trying to improve your circumstances because “capitalism is designed to oppress me” and “my anxiety/BPD/autism/PTSD means I CANNOT be expected to have life skills!”. Instead of focusing on the numerous threats lower class Americans face which financially and physically ruin them (lack of retirement, inadequate healthcare, threat of crime, broken families, back-breaking manual labor) they have a predisposition to complaining about lack of free time and work drama BS which indicate most of them have a middle class background and aren’t thinking critically on how to help other or even themselves. They haven't thought through the ramifications of their ideology, beyond the demand to do away with the current order, because it doesn't instantly gratify their desires. The biggest motivation for them is the destruction of the current order and its replacement with something else. They naturally assume, when the revolution is brought about, that they'll rise to the top, or that they'll be magically provided with everything they want.

This is, incidentally, why troons are over-represented amongst their ranks: They want magical solutions to their current circumstances. It's why they consume so voraciously; it comforts their wants for novelty. I might once have called it escapism, but they're not trying to escape from anything (and often decry "escapism" as a means for others to avoid their endless activism), but rather seek to lock themselves into a virtual, hedonistic platform, from which they can transmit their demands that everyone else should fix the world for them.

You can see this attitude in commies who just assume the government will be able to run every aspect of the economy without a second thought and that they don’t have to work or use critical thinking for anything.

I somewhat disagree on the escapism point. These people are desperately trying to escape. Antiworkers want to escape lower class lifestyles and having to recognize realistic vocational prospects. Troons rely on personal delusion, pleasure and leveraging every bit of power they have against would be critics to avoid being revealed as the freaks they are to themselves and others. Hardcore commies unintentionally believe in totalitarian utopianism to avoid the hard decisions and effort required to run something as big and complex as a country in the modern world.
