What the fuck, I personally dislike it when people play martyr for having children, but this mom is acting completely normal and her friend is genuinely insane, who gets this pissy and evil about being 'abandoned' by a friend having kids??? Does this bitch have bpd or npd?

'I'm really trying to do what's best for me, it brought so many sad dark days for me' she's acting like her friend divorced her to become a jehovas witness missionary in Africa or something.




And ofc most of the comments are like 'no you're not crazy you're right, consequences of her own actions lol she was warned' when you know these are the same types to endlessly bitch about the consequences of their own choices, like university being hard and their degree being worthless.

My absolute favorite kind of childfree people are the ones that brag about how they get to "sip mimosas on the beach" when they have and most likely will never do that. They talk about how they want to travel the world "one day", but don't take advantage of their childless life and actually put effort into a career that will allow them to travel and have worldly experiences. I don't care if people don't want kids, but don't act like you live a glamorous life when you "work from home" taking calls for xfinity, and spend your money on materialistic consumerist tiktok bullshit. It still takes effort to have a fulfilling life, childfree or not.

If someone moves to another country, being overwhelmed and homesick in the beginning doesn't mean they straight-up shouldn't have moved.
If someone has stress about an engineering assignment, it doesn't mean they should have never started studying engineering.

The baby stage is short and especially difficult, but in a few years they'll have a cute child who goes to school and can go to the zoo and and wipe their own ass.
Like how it's worth it to do a stressful study to get a fun and good job.

I think the weirdest part of this still is how op and some comments are acting like the friend getting pregnant is some horrible, hurtful thing that op needed to recover from for months when it affects op in no way other than that 1 specific friend being less available and having little to talk about for a year or 3, and that friend occasionally being miserable is karma for that???

A lot of these r/childfree people definitely came from homes with bad marriages/single parenting, probably questionable communities as well. I'm sure plenty of people here know of several women who've raised children, who are kindhearted, and their husband still thinks they're the sexiest woman ever. I remember digging into the account of this one cretin who was hilariously trigged by any references to sex and pregnancy, refused to believe that couples could love each other, or that parents could love their children, and swore up and down that every single instance of family planning was "literally rape". Her dad definitely left her mom with a kid she didn't want, imo.

Kinda funny to me is also how they try to fill the space of a kid with cats/dogs or whatever pet they can get their hands on, i don't know why but i find it somewhat hilarious.

As much as these people brag about "muh quality of life", they sure don't have much of it. I think they have this idea in their heads of being this cool sophisticated career woman who travels the world, like you'd see in the early 20th century or something similar. Except, they never build said career, and end up just being shut-ins who don't do anything besides fuck around on the internet all day. It's funny, because I think your average upper-middle class families with like 3+ kids travel much more than these types. Really shows what they think living freely is, lmao.

I looked at her profile and all she does is post about Animal Crossing and reality TV. She also posted this same image six months ago. She's getting huge amounts of upvotes for it this time. While skimming through her profile I couldn't help but notice that she gave away her age, location and career within twenty posts because redditors are always on retard mode.

She's no exception. She doesn't want children because it will interfere with her ambitious plans of... playing children's games, watching Real Housewives and baking cookies for reddit applause. That's definitely not something a woman with kids could do!

Honestly, I find the whole childfree dog mommy thing (because that's what most of them do) extremely creepy, especially if it's a breeder dog rather than a shelter one.
They're taking baby dogs away from their biological same-species mothers so they can be their 'mother' instead, to try and fill the childless hole in their life, rather than just be a normal pet owner.

And then on top of it they endlessly bitch about actual mothers being annoying about their children, but then act in the exact same obnoxious way about their pets except worse because they didn't birth that dog and having a dog is not that taxing or productive for society.

I mean, there's nothing wrong with devoting yourself to hobbies, but clearly she isn't doing those hobbies enough if she's a redditor this preoccupied with NOT being something.

It's also that these fucks usually don't have any actual interesting hobbies, or multiple hobbies that they legit devote themselves to rather than just be mediocre at.
They don't go to book clubs, they don't have a youtube channel where they post harp covers of songs, they don't go to hula hoop dance festivals, they don't build anything actually cool with the lego they collect, they don't do charity work, they're usually just regular (semi)shutins with a few hobbies they're ok at and not all that passionate about.

Occasionally baking cookies and for the rest watching shitty reality tv and playing the least challenging game in existence...
My aunt spent hours each week being an actual serious hobby artist while she had a job and 4 kids.

All of the actually cool things made in hobby subs are usually made by people who don't post in any subreddits that aren't hobby ones, even if they're childfree.
Many childfree people do cool shit, but they don't or rarely post in childfree because they have actual lives, so you're mostly left with the terminally online redditors.

The sub even has a leisure tag but it is not used even nearly as frequently as the rant ones.

She feels personally offended, invalidated and betrayed by her friend's life choice and is going out of her way to shun and punish her. Her friends misery makes her feel VaLiD about being the only one left without kids. Yes mothering is hard and babies are gross and boring, but the previous poster who mentioned getting an engineering degree made a good comparison. Just because something is hard doesn't mean it's a bad decision. And it doesn't mean your friends are justified in shunning you if you dare to complain about your struggles during the process.
