Infected r/dogfree and r/ifuckinghatecats - People who are REALLY passionate about how much they hate animals

I don't hate cats or dogs at all, but people need to see them for what they are: pets. They are animals, not your fur babies. They will not appreciate you like a child would. So many people who use pets are surrogate children do so because they want all the cute and cuddly aspects of having a child but none of the responsibility or complexity. They want a permanent baby, with no terrible twos, teen turmoil or even dealing with the fact that your child will become their own independent person and may think differently from you.

Liking dogs means you're homophobic apparently.

I love pets, but any dog below the size of a game console is useless and usually a shrine for the owner's vanity. Every small dog I've ever met is perpetually angry and/or attached to their owner to an unhealthy degree.
Youre only allowed by law to brake for dogs above cat size here. Lawful truth at its best.

>We r/Dogfree are the people who are brave enough to stand up and say NO while the rest of the average middle class folk of America feel that they must fit the status quo and subject themselves to these stinking, stupid animals.

The oppressed will rise! There will be a revolution!

Thread Archive (because the comments are fun too.)

Well, I guess gamers finally have some real competition in oppression Olympics this year

My favorite thing about /r/Dogfree is they have this idea that if they come out and say they don't like dogs, they can never get a date. You'll see a ton of post crying about how there are too many dog owners on dating apps, or how they have to lie to their SO about liking dogs, when they secretly want to kill the things.

They act like being single and dog free makes them oppressed.

ngl if somebody told me she hated dogs on a date I'd burst into laughter and then stand up and leave bc that's a broken person.

I've never understood the distinction between "dog people" and "cat people." In regarding their feelings towards their favored pets.

Based on personal experience, it seems those who tend to favor dogs can (and will) sperg on and on about how much they hate cats, to the point of physical abuse towards cats, and it's apparently perfectly acceptable.

Merely say you're not much of a dog person and suddenly you're worse than Hitler's asparagus farts.

Might be different in other countries, but in America there seems to be an unhealthy obsession with dogs. This behavior doesn't seem like a few isolated incidents.

I got barked at and bitten by a large dog when I was like 5 so I was scared and hated them for a long while until I realized they're good boys.
I assume these people never realized that simple fact.
Why not just get a pet Autistic? They're basically animals anyway!

Can't they tell that having a dog only requires to walk it once in a while, while having a special needs blob under your wing is more like a part time job
Also comparing retards to dogs is pretty degrading
