I was getting Hitler comparison overdose for the past few years but this is reaching Hitler comparison exhaustion.

Alos redditors think they're living in a Tom Clancy novel.

Regardless, if you're offered 8 months of pay, you should not complain
They should be taking it. I would. If I had any doubt at all that my job wasn’t secure I’d take it. Frankly even if it was secure, take it now, get ahead of the waves of people getting into the job market. Get a new job, take a month off and bank the rest. Then charge triple as a filthy day-rater if they find your job actually was needed.

I work for a prime-contractor for the US military and it's impressive how fast the anti-DEI executive orders have swept through the company. Technically we're not government workers, just contractors, but the anti-DEI EO specified all contractors must abide by it as well so (thankfully) we fall under that.
We work on highly regulated stuff so normally ANY change to the status quo would take months or even years of meetings and committees to enact...

...It took one day.

We got an official letter from our specific military branch customer telling us to knock that shit off and it was like a switch had been flipped.
Those brand new $3000 billboards in the hallways celebrating historical minority employees? Removed overnight.
All of the woman/POC/LGBTQP++++ groups that were sponsored by the company? Dissolved with a single email.

Corporate just sent out an incredibly terse message about how they are 'abiding by the customers wishes' and that 'all employees are hired based on merit and no one will be fired' and I can feel the teeth-grinding and eye-bulging SEETHE behind it all.

What a great week to be an autist working for the MIC.
My company is not a "prime" contractor but we do have contracts with US federal government agencies that are worth enough % of revenue to be an issue.

I'm surprised it hasn't hit us yet, I'd love for it to. The HR lead put out a gay "we aren't abandoning DEI" message a few weeks before Jan 20 and since then some HR hiring reps have been seething on linkedin but no word on ending the nonsense.

You know, watching these people seethe and mald makes me feel poetic. I often feel like Songs are great at capturing moments in time, and I think no better patriotic song captures this moment as a literal revolution drops on Washingon DC's heads and all these swamp creatures are completely powerless to stop it despite their desperate grasping efforts, then "Battle Cry of Freedom".

It was a short list contender for the US National Anthem, but in the end was rejected (along with the Battle Hymn) because it wasn't "unifying" in the way the Star Spangled Banner was. Its a song about there explicitly being domestic enemies to the American nation that needed to be fought by the American People. That the American people, when the Union is pushed to the brink by traitors, must rally around the flag and lift up the Stars.
That song is an absolutely disgusting display of hypocrisy.
It was the Union which betrayed the constitution, they are the traitors!
I hope Trump repeals the 14th amendment and put a giant bronze statue of John Wilkes Booth in front of the Supreme court to symbolize justice!

Are these "feds", like, glowies? Or just federal bureaucrats?

Also, it's hilarious that their response to this whole situation is basically throwing a child's tantrum. Not forming unions or using existing ones to fight back, not strikes, not sabotage, not lawyering up, but petty shit like turning flags upside down and reporting emails as spam. Yeah, sure, that'll teach them!

Most of them are the paper pushers, who arrogantly think that they really run the government and have authority to sabotage the legal, voted for and elected officials. Usually at the behest of the Democrats.
They made a stink because Trump is finally clearing their do nothing asses out. For being wasted tax payers money. So they are sneeding and larping as Columbian jungle rebels.

I thank baby Jesus they’re retarded.
The Left when I was a kid:

"USAID is a colonialist front for American oligarchs who want to open up the economies of the Third World to western interests, even if that means destabilizing entire regions, imposing austerity, and ruining the quality of life for millions of people."

The Left now, as Elon Musk is auditing and closing down USAID:

"ELON MUSK IS A NAZI! OH MY GOOOOOOD!!!!! STOP HIIIIIM! HE'S TAKING FOOD OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF STARVING CHILDREEEEEN AND GIVING IT TO WHITE SUPREMACISTS OH MY GOD!!!!!!!"

There’s a reason the left is self loathing. They assume all others are as sexist, racist, and horny as them.

It reminds me of when the bureaucrats get uppity in Chinese history.

I'm a defense contractor, not a fed. I don't understand what is going wrong here, you won't even have a proper discussion. There were 3 messages between us before you just threw your hands up and cried.
Glowie working for GAE. Slave of Israel. Good goy points have been added to your social credit. Take a loan from Bank of Tel Aviv.
I am predicting that big black cock threads and pro Israel threads on 4chan are about to die out completely.
Don't discount Mossad, G-O-Y!

The bulk, I suspect, are bureaucrats who are--for the first time--faced with situations that people in corporate/private sectors have dealt with their entire careers.

"The company is downsizing and we are re-assessing who we have to let go in order to save costs."

Without power-leveling too much, I have old friends that work in businesses which contract out to the Federal sector, and the utter coping, seething, and dilating that's occurring over retarded shit is incredible. I can commiserate with Govies concerned about rapid, massive changes to the job structure and potential compensation--it's certainly stressful to wonder about job security and Federal workers make like 20-25% less salary than comparable contractors (the trade-off being better benefits) so those are concerns I can understand. But the shit I've been told:
  • "What do you mean I have to come to the office five days as week?"
  • "But I moved to <insert town a hour away> that's gonna add like 3 hours to my day!"
  • "What do you mean if the base/building/work location is closed, I have to take personal leave?"
A lot of this stupid shit is uttered by literal kids (likely fedditor demographic) who were hired during COVID and have never had to work a full week 'in the office' at their work location and/or have never worked a job in the private sector. They are also obviously not doing incredibly serious/sensitive work since most of that has to be done in a SCIF/SAPF and those are very clearly NOT accessible from home.

Full disclosure: I agree with Null that remote/hybrid work is useful and important for people, especially those trying to start families. I think the Federal Government is going to see an issue down the road where they cannot attract sharp folks without offering something like that to encourage the work/life balance. That said, this balls-to-the-wall approach is necessary to get the leeches out and make it very clear that the free ride is over: be productive or go waste someone else's money.

Update: Five GS's in friends with all plan on taking the 8 months. All five already have letters of intent from contacting jobs that will be starting in October.

That's when the timing of this hit me as genius, all this will start a wave for FY26 when bids will be firing up for 28. With a scramble to pick up experienced insiders across the entire run of programs, we're probably about to are some massive cuts to the civil service and smaller sub contractors.

We haven't had anything like this since the draft was responsible for providing low cost and easily trainable personnel across the military to take a lot of the contact and gov jobs that you need to run a large army.

Actual glowies are staying silent and/or doing shit overseas.

These people are just paper pushers who think they're important

The line I keep hearing is allowing private contractors with private servers across state lines!! access to high-security government systems is a violation of laws regarding classified information, falsely equating a contractor who has explicit authorization for handling sensitive information with a tech-illiterate desk jockey saving classified documents to their personal Google Drive because they're too retarded to use the internal network share.
They’re too retarded to know that DC is like 50% contractors with top secret clearance.

My relative, a federal slob, has sent me stuff from FedNews for years. The funny thing is before all this Trump shit flooded the sub, the sub was mostly a resource on sharing which federal provided health plan has the heckin' free or cheap access to Oyzempic, WeGovy, or whatever offbrand GPL-1. Every once in awhile, they also asked about which plan had the best free test tube baby coverage or gender nonconforming treatment.

So they went from the minutia of reduced cost Oyzempic to planning a revolution in a few months. Maybe Trump should considering add Oyzempic for life to the resignation offer to increase uptake.
