r/Gamingcirclejerk - Complaining about people complaining about unimportant things.

They hit the gaming jerk reddit with a "stop making the Nazi joke ffs" rule because it was so overplayed.

This image first appeared on r/gamingcirclejerk and it seems to be making the rounds on the pseudointellectual gaming criticism circle.
The difference between going “look a black trans non binary queer feminist so woke and deep” and actually having nuance and world-building in politics. I partially blame it on gamers themselves by just saying no politics in video games instead of saying no badly done politics in video games, but the people who act like games can only be art by having black gender queer characters are also annoying.

/r/gamingcirclejerk has become less of a counter circlejerk to /r/gaming and more of an SJW sub.
The main issue for me is how the subreddit focused less on making fun at circlejerk communities and focused more towards seriousposting and ironically whining about them. They used a lot of these /uj /uj /uj /uj stuff and they're made fun of because of this reason, even if the ones they are seriousposting about are stupid.

Case in point, this is a very recent thread:

Pretty much, the problem isn’t politics in games it’s propaganda in games. You can use politics to add to a story in a game without turning the game into fucking propaganda (case in point: MGS2, Deus Ex, both RDR and RDR2, Killer7, etc) but the issue is that a lot of the woke crowd (i.e. the guys who make donkey shit like Dear Esther and Gone Home) are agenda pushing morons who only know how to write propaganda.

RDR and Bioshock written by talented professionals who know how to use politics well while garbage like Dear Esther and Gone Home are written by woke morons who just read Karl Marx for the first time.

The Virgin Gone Home:
says dumb, obvious shit like “homophobia bad” and “gay people have relationship problems too”

The Chad Deus Ex: asks deep questions like would a benevolent dictatorship or a pure anarchy be better while also having a funny cyborg who likes orange soda

The crazy thing about this sub is how unaware they are in their contrarianism. They will seriously defend everything EA does just to be different from the other sub reddit. It's insane to me how far down the contrarian rabbit hole some people have gone.
As shown by KiA, all subreddits are destined to become whiny hugboxes, regardless of what political spectrum the community might be on

Agreed. If I was interested in psych I would look at reddit to see how stupid communities based off popular opinion are. Which is almost every single sub reddit because of the voting system.

I feel that in terms of storytelling games have actually regressed in certain ways
