R.I.P Robin Williams

I bet this will be like JFK or Michael Jackson where everyone remembers where they were/what they were doing when they learned that he died. As for me, I was working an 8-hour shirt as a grocery store checker when my last customer of the day mentioned that Robin Williams committed suicide. I didn't believe her at first. But that revelation of information kind of ruined the rest of my day.
I was painting some miniatures with my friend, I checked my phone as a layer was drying and I actually saw this very thread. Very blankly I told my friend, "Robin Williams just died" he didn't believe me at first. He texted his friend who replied, "Now he's in heaven doing lines with that guy Tony Stewart killed." At first we were like wow that's fucked, but then I realized Robin Williams would want people to make a joke like that.
It's sad, Good Mourning Vietnam is one of my favorite movies.

I first heard of it seeing a headline on a newspaper in a convenience store and it just seemed so unexpected. My condolences to his family and friends, and may the dreams that come be good for him.

I learned about it through my friend on Skype.

Oh no. Looks like I have a reason to use this:

First, Philip Seymour Hoffman, now, Robin Williams. Someone really doesn't like Patch Adams.
God perhaps? Only time will tell whether or not either Monica Potter or Bob Gunton (or Doug Walker, if only out of spite) will join them this year or not.

In all seriousness however, this is pretty heartbreaking to everyone who knew him. My condolences goes out to his family and friends.

And here I am, and I still haven't watched Good Morning Vietnam or Mrs. Doubtfire yet (probably should though).

Since we're sharing: I was browsing the Telltale Games forums when I saw a post that said "No time for jokes, Robin Williams just died. :(" Naturally, I didn't believe them and looked it up for myself.

I heard about it from my daughter. Somebody has posted a picture of Genie hugging Aladdin on Instagram with the words, "RIP Robin Williams." She asked me who Robin Williams was, and I told her. At first I didn't believe that he was dead, chalking it up to a Facebook rumor. But then I went to CNN.com and saw for myself. :(

Good to see that no human pieces of shit are doing stupid 2 min v-logs using the death of Robin Williams to rack up views and ad money, oh wait, they are
On that note, I found this video last night. It's actually really heartfelt and kind of important rather than exploitative bullshit. I know a lot of people here deal with depression, and the video simultaneously summed up some of my feelings regarding my experiences with depression and gave some pretty alright advice for those who have people they love struggling with the illness.

I forgot that one of his last projects was that horrible CBS show he was on, The Crazy Ones. Man was that show bad :( poor Robin.

Usually I don't give a shit about celebrities or celebrity deaths but this one really hits close to home for some reason. I feel like I got punched in the childhood.

They're getting desperate for attention.

They released a (obviously hate-filled) video where they had a brief clip of man dressed as an old woman from one of his movies, except it was Nathan Lane in The Birdcage.
