r/polyamory

it's when you insist you and your fuckbuddies and your fuckbuddies' fuckbuddies all sit around at a kitchen table and discuss your feelings
or, when you insist the spouse you've cuckolded has to be friends with your new piece

If Dante were still around and needed inspiration for a tenth Circle of Hell, I'd forward this and tell him to call it Despair.

I’m not looking through over 70 pages of posts but I just found this

It’s like some degenerate crossover between hard gay and cyberpunk.

Someone posted the poly constellation map. It’s surprisingly understated, looking like a “real” star map. I consider it lolcow modern art.

Sadly the imgur image is deleted.

Maybe someone's already talked about it but I couldn't help putting parts together.

A number of people pointed out many participants are young, naive or even have autism etc. Essentially vulnerable and inexperienced with relationships.

We all know that intimate relationships with negative dynamics can impact a person. Someone who is neglected might either long for neglect or become neglectful, someone whose abused seeks out abusers or become abusive etc. And if anything, Polyamory is abusive to one or more participants.

So therefore, does Polyamory reproduce? A young person's first relationship bringing them into it and henceforth they have no concept of a normal partnership. They pass it on to another person...and because it's poly the 'disease' spreads exponentially.

Is this literally a psychological STD?

2:40 Even people that try and like the poly will see the light and leave. Always.

See I wonder about the 'always' part.
Is there evidence for people finding a way out?

There's so many age differences, indicating a lack of cure by maturation.
They're all LGBT positive so use of poly as an experiment for homosexuality isn't a thing anymore.

The forums posted in this thread are full of people complaining about borderline to outright abuse....but they're still in the relationship and using the board on the topic instead of a normal one.

If this was a venereal disease, where would it be on a scale of permanence?

would it be crabs? Herpes? AIDs?

It's interesting that those who are in poly subreddits don't seem to notice that the majority of the posts are negative.

You would think someone visiting those subs with the intention of doing research before jumping into it, would notice that everyone is bloody unhappy
It's not ALL negative. I noticed that a lot of the positive/pro-poly posts come from people who are the "hinge," ie, a person who has a partner and is also fucking someone else. Look at the photo megathread: the majority of them are posted by the "hinge" because the other two people in the relationship are both getting cucked and hating it.

There are also a lot of ThatHappened posts and memes that could easily deceive people who come to the subreddit to learn. Look at this post, it's clearly a hostel or some kind of dormitory. There's no such thing as a three-person bed in any hotel. The person who posted this is either insane or joking.

And yet polytards in the comments are taking it seriously:

How many times have you (or anyone else) been told that? Zero times.

I will bet one zillion dollars that this Australian yokel has never stayed in a high-end hotel. Probably never even been inside one. And yet here he is on Reddit giving off the impression that his hot poly threesomes are regularly being thwarted by the front desk staff at Chateau Marmont.

In the past 23 hours, I just counted 12 posts that were negative in the poly Reddit. They're all about boundaries being crossed, trust issues and feelings of jealousy.

That's a majority of the posts from 24 hours. So even removing the trolling and shit, a quick look at the titles on their front page shows me that they're mostly unhappy and that the page is meant as a soundboard for people to vent about how hard polyamory is

Forgot that the Ritz uses concrete block walls like the local high school, godawful lights, and only the finest photos of zebras. Even for a hostel this place is depressingly shitty looking but what can you expect from low-rent sexual degenerates whose idea of luxury is probably a dishwasher.
