i like the idea of the South African War imo- but it needs to be able to stand alone as its own conflict. other lore though has to go. iran still having a coup in the 50's is uninspired and socialism should be much less influential globally. the subideologies they recently added have an absurd amount of leftist movements, while liberalism has like three. at that point they should be making a mod about all the leftist movements that have ever existed rather than an axis victory one

I think after 2k hours in HOI4, I'm pretty much done with it, no upcoming mods seem to be interesting with many of them trying to be like Red Flood with "le wacky schizo paths" but failing hard with moralfagging. The Multiplayer community has turn into not even so bad its funny to just tranny jannies running every discord that will instant ban you for not saying trans rights 40 times a day, and the "right wing HOi4 servers" are full with the definition of euromutts/amerimutts who have to remind you ever 5 seconds they're Nordic as fuck. Idk what the fuck happened with this game, it used to be pretty fun both single player and multiplayer, now both of them are ruined, all the fun mods are dead or shit, and the multiplayer community will only play "muh historical mods" like it's StarCraft 2. I am 100% MATI, but it's kinda depressing to know a game and its community slowly go to complete shit before your very eyes and you can't do anything about it. I hope to god Vicky 3 is good, but knowing what happened with CK3, it will be co-oped within 2 weeks max by retards.

Kaiserredux has unfortunately slipped into the stupid skid like TNO when it comes to building paths for nations that don't matter vs actual big powers. There's still a good amount of China paths that need updating, tweaking, and there's whole factions that still need weapon trees and such updated, and the Warlords are one of the best parts of KR and KX.

So of course, they make a brand new faction on the Navajo, which only pop up through an independent Arizona breaking off after Mexico occupies TX, AZ, and NM and causes a revolt after the Second American Civil War.
Then, you have to make it so Barry Goldwater takes dictatorial control over Arizona and forces the natives to accept big government. I say again: Barry Goldwater takes dictatorial powers and forces government control on people. In Arizona. In the 1930s and 40s. And then one of their VIP's is the teenage Ira Hayes, because... flag-raising?
I'd say it was an April Fools joke, but its too late for that, and it isn't funny.

Now if you want to get into anything you have to wade through a sea of unfunny Among Us tier memes and references. Fucking zoomers ruin everything I swear.

I dunno, both of those things were fun and kind of weirdly compelling in a way. I'm still a fan of the first Draka book, not so much the rest of the series, but it had a kind of pulpy bite to it that modern shit just doesn't have. I even enjoyed something stupid like Stuart Slade's The Big One just because it felt like one man's weird demented vision instead of some tranny college kid's idiotic meme timeline. Those days are definitely gone for good now; everything's been contaminated with troon shit and zoomer memes.

And the more I think about it, the less I like about the Civil War from an ideological view. I know we like to shit on the modders, but if you really start thinking about it, the vast majority would rather have a disastrous and bloody war than do simple compromises, which for a war game is understandable, but its kind of fucked up to think about. I've gotten to the point where I purposely set the AI in my KX playthroughs for peace in America.

Tl:dr, Kaiserreich proves that extremist weirdos on both sides are fucking lame and gay, and one of the KRDevs probably had a curse put on his family by Herbert Hoover that they can't get rid of judging how much they hate him.

I know we like to shit on the modders, but if you really start thinking about it, the vast majority would rather have a disastrous and bloody war than do simple compromises, which for a war game is understandable, but its kind of fucked up to think about. I've gotten to the point where I purposely set the AI in my KX playthroughs for peace in America.

Because while the alt-history aspect of "what if Germany won WWI" is very interesting the actual gameplay of it isn't, its effectively a vanilla Hoi4 game but instead Germany has all the forts. The 2ACW has a lot to make it appealing gameplay wise because its a region that you don't get a lot of early-mid war play on and has the appeal of a battle royale civil war without it being a clusterfuck by being on such a small area like Spain can be.
