I broadly agree. The narrative of TNO Brazil will definitely get carried by the fact that 1960s Brazil just was a very interesting time and place. I'll definitely play Crow and Bull.

Let me tell an ugly little secret about the America First movement having socialists and commies in their ranks: they were ordered to be that way by Stalin. From 1933-39, you would hear nothing but "smash fascism", "stop the Nazis" etc. from the CPUSA and their more moderate allies. Then the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact was signed. Literally overnight, the American hard left became anti-war and isolationist. They were the loudest voices saying Britain should throw in the towel by 1940, saying the US should not involve itself and cut off lend-lease, quickly becoming opponents of FDR who kept giving money and arms to the UK. And to show they had no morals or spine, by noon on June 22nd, 1941, they were the most rabid, pro-war, send whatever the US could to Britain and the Soviets especially.

Not that you'll ever hear about that. After all, it literally took the Iron Curtain falling to finally get the Russians to admit they signed a secret agreement with the Nazis in 1939. And you'll certainly never hear it from the living Dunning-Kruger victims that make up HoI4 modding, especially KaiserSyndiewank.

Oh I know full well about that. Even Wikipedia says that assuming its still up and it should not be forgotten. Anti-war and pro-war sentiment is always funny since a lot of times it is just foreign psyops trying to get people to join. The British obviously had a pro-war lobby in America but the German, Japs, and Soviets had an anti-war one. And like you said they told American commies to support an anti-war sentiment cause they thought that the USSR and Germany were buddies. Even history collaborates that, Stalin was shocked that Hitler even betrayed him that he retreated to his Dacha for like a week. This is a very controversial thing to say or point out since it ruins the narrative of great anti-fascist fighters.

My favorite thing about Huey Long is how people have been tying themselves up in knots for decades when trying to explain and categorize him. Long was a fascinating figure and he really can’t be put in any one political camp, the best descriptor you can give his politics is just calling it Longism.

There was never anything wrong with a 4-way civil war, and it has always been total kino to have norf CSA vs soufen Union and anyone who thinks otherwise is a faggot who needs to go back to playing t*tal war "games". The unity candidate option to sidestep was a perfectly good compromise for boring people too.
It's been CSA vs AUS since the mod migrated over from HOI2 way back when for fucks sake, talk about killing the spirit of the past, even the very early versions (way back when it when it was an althis about the Whites beating the Soviets with minimal butterflies elsewhere) had it in.
Now we don't get to enjoy that anymore because it's pwoblematic uwu, thank god for Kaiserredux.

Also I'm going to be that guy: I'm record as saying I hate the South African War in TNO, but I think a close second in pure retardation is the Iberian Union. I don't get why it exists, whose brilliant idea it was to put in game, and who actually thought that it would work from an in-game or meta sense.

I'll reinstall the mod and do a Lacerda playthrough to see what's up with the new update. Will cut it into parts so keep an eye open for that.

Huey Long was a slightly more extreme version of FDR in my opinion. If he did get elected, he would've enacted more left-leaning economic policies but I wouldn't consider him a Bolshevik. Also I don't think America would change foreign policy wise since Long was well-known for his anti-Nazi rhetoric and the Japanese invasion of China in 1937 would probably make him reconsider the Philippines.

Yet another reason to never touch KR again. What possible justification can they have for removing Herbert Hoover for an Irish Catholic. Al Smith specifically lost the vote mainly on the fact he was a Catholic and 1930s America was very anti-Catholic. Can't wait to see retarded minigames tied into the civil war and recovery after the war ends, because it is an excellent use of time and data to make busted minigames the AI can't operate and players can barely understand.

I have a question, how are you able to make focus trees faster then actual tno or any other submod? I know a lot of the focuses are probably visual only but back when tno actually did leaks weekly they at most post one or two focuses. I'm not familiar with coding so I don't know how hard it really is.
