I hadn't even thought about this. Despite the fact Poonzer's entire conviction was that he would land some kind of career advancement in game development through TNO, it didn't strike me that Pacifica managed to actually do that by the way of not only sitting on talented people's work, but also possibly straining it. While it's essentially a rumor, I remember a dev or ex-dev mentioning Pacifica's obsession with Suslov and Russia content could've drained the effort that maybe would've gone to India and so on.A moment of silence for all those unpaid volunteers who FUCKING CRUNCHED so Pacifica could have a good enough portfolio to join Paradox.
So following TNO's logic. That world should have constant fascist insurgencies and uprisings despite it being a discredited ideology.Spartakus; A world in Revolution is a leftist hoi4 alt history power fantasy set in a world where all of the subsequent commie insurrections following WW1 succeeded. The devs encompass your typical brand of leftist lolcowdom. The mod itself had been in development for 5 years yet all the devs have to spit out is a broken Git demo with only 3 functional lines of code and it seems only one person in the entire dev team seems to have actually worked on the mod.
Probably because of the pure autism needed to make something like that, I can only think of four mods that do the "hyper focus on X region/conflict" and three of them (Balkan Wars, Warlord Era and whatever the Yugoslav Wars one was called) are years out of date. Also why isn't there a Russian civil war mod already? Come on, I want to larp as Pyotr Wrangel
A great majority of the minor factions in the Russian Civil War had nominal areas they controlled, but in reality there was nearly a complete breakdown of authority throughout most of Russia and Eastern Europe. A lot of groups difficult to define in terms of territory. I think representing that region and time period would be a great challenge, albeit a very interesting challenge. You would probably want to work on properly representing the very ephemeral nature of most factions' borders, even those who were not actively fighting, because typically the de facto borders of those individual factions were really only determined by the outer limits of villages and towns which would support one specific army over another.Probably because of the pure autism needed to make something like that, I can only think of four mods that do the "hyper focus on X region/conflict" and three of them (Balkan Wars, Warlord Era and whatever the Yugoslav Wars one was called) are years out of date.
Developing a mod for CK3 named after the famous STD Gonorrhea. Its not terrible, but CK3 is already mediocre and the mod isn't really worth the space on your computer. So what is our friend Jakob/Panzer doing now?
Those are actually my favorite type of mods. A Very British Civil War is also very good. There’s a German Civil War mod in development I can’t remember the name right now.Probably because of the pure autism needed to make something like that, I can only think of four mods that do the "hyper focus on X region/conflict" and three of them (Balkan Wars, Warlord Era and whatever the Yugoslav Wars one was called) are years out of date.
just like TNO huh? That piece of shit can't even load without crashing. I heard others had it fine, it may be my loonix machine saving me from computer AIDS againand the mod isn't really worth the space on your computer.
Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm like 99% certain that this is not in fact the first DH release, I recall playing the mod around the first year after the game itself was first released. That version of the mod was however quickly abandoned/pulled off Steam, and now we have this. So like that other mod discussed above, DH has basically been in development since the release of the game. The mod only had its first release, I think only major powers are playable. I'd imagine DH will add it in future updates. If they don't, I'll be pretty disappointed. Lots of opportunities for minors to engage in conflicts and make playing smaller countries fun in the buildup to the "Main Event".
You might be thinking of the 0.1 alpha/beta or whatever it was, current DH is the full 0.1 release which is roughly equivelant to vanilla 1.0 HoI4Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm like 99% certain that this is not in fact the first DH release, I recall playing the mod around the first year after the game itself was first released. I don't remember what number soup they decided to call it, but it was released on the Workshop at any rate. I dug around a bit and while the original mod has been deleted, there are submods and such from as far back as March of 2018 ("!Darkest Hour : Uncenssored Edition"). AlgerianGeneral was already in charge of the mod back then. You might be thinking of the 0.1 alpha/beta or whatever it was, current DH is the full 0.1 release which is roughly equivelant to vanilla 1.0 HoI4
