It's actually amazing how little people don't know that Kony's army in real life had a weird schizo Christian cult ideology. I think one reporter called him "Uganda's David Koresh" then that was it.
People think he's just a Generic African Warlord but if his militia was stronger and actually took power somewhere he'd basically be African Christian (as Christian as the Taiping at least) ISIS.

Initial focus is on getting this build into a somewhat functional state. After that, I want to focus on getting roughly 10 more years of content for the initial majors plus Russia/USSR. I believe that's very doable, and I intend to accomplish this through having major wars between tags. Essentially 1962-1972 will be the build-up and then 1972 onward is when the real fun begins. I also have some rough notes for internal politics which is based on panzer's ideas, and my own intrusive schizo ideas which I jot down on notepad. Also I want to add more content to minors. I think giving Free France reconquest content is very easy and doable. Also have some ideas for Italy and the RKs, though the latter would require rewoorking Germany a bit.
I can make a more comprehensive write up later. I can even share the cheesy names I though up for the wars.

Realistically gay rights in a setting like TNO would be whether or not being gay at all is illegal and if it is illegal would the defendant receive communal sentences or the state outright sentence capital punishment?
In a morbid way, I have a lot of respect for Joseph Kony. He may be evil, but he has outwitted and out maneuvered everyone who has tried to kill him in the past 30 years and even while surviving diabetes. Most warlords and terrorists can't say the same.

Humans are almost naturally attracted to villainous characters; both fictional and real. Indeed, TNOs entire premise is based on the villains winning WW2. Mod devs both old and new decry fascists and Nazis, but ironically they are one of the biggest victims of this dionysian obsession. There is not a rational explanation for why someone would dedicate hours of their lives to ideologies they hate.
The "deradicalization tool" excuse is all the more hilarious when you realize it's a manchild's excuse for why he's writing Hitler fanfiction.
Now I feel all the more pity for Panzer. He believed that when he rejected Nazi ideology he freed himself, but in reality he just swapped one materialist dogma for another. He didn't develop the level of thought required for internal dialogue so he substituted it with external dialogue; ie sperging on discord. I'd bet the farm that his current obsession with transvestites came directly from the discord modders he spends all his time with. It's like ideological incitement; he wouldn't have come to these conclusions by himself.

I want to put this idea out there because I've been thinking a bit about it. Would an OWB nation divided between classical NatSocs and vague White Nationalist skinheads be interesting? Purely hypothetical because of things like pic related.
