Plagued /r/TNOmod and the Reddit HOI4 modding community - When a subreddit for a video game mod turns to utter insanity

One big part of the Iberian Lore was Portugal getting Mad ass hell for losing thier colonies and being pro American because off the hope off returning one day.
But yeah let´s make that useless because "MUH Realism" in a world where Japan got Nukes and Where the SuperHolocaust (Maybe?) happened and still have a fucking Israel Nation in the Baltics and in Israel.
Unless they changed the Lore again while i was sleeping last night.

The world of TNO got just a bit more boring.
The South African War was always a really shit analogy for Vietnam that could only have been dreamt up by Panzer's particular blend of crack cocaine and estrogen
While it was a shit analogy. it was still an interesting setting for a war like that and one of the more better parts of TNO.
Oh well, at least we're getting Ian Smith.
The Rhodesiabos had the last laugh after all.
In non-TNO related news, someone made a post about Great War Redux (a mod based off of the older Great War World War 1 mod) on the Reddit sub r/hoi4modding where users talk about how alternate history content was gutted for whatever reason. Some think the developers got a case of "realism" fever.
Trannies ruined it. I wish someone could go back and update the version before they ruined Russia and Austro-Hungary.

I uncovered the Japan diplomacy mechanic. At the moment it doesn't actually do anything but it's still cool

Also if Schoerner coups Goering after War Plan Zero, Speidel will countercoup. I am working on giving him some content.

Ian Smith is portrayed as a German collaborationist which doesn't even make sense since he fought against them in World War II.

Also why does Iberia exist now since the Germans didn't seized Portugal's colonies?

Also why didn't the Germans at least take back their pre-World War I colonies? The Reichskolonialbund was an organization within the party that wanted them back, Adolf Hitler personally spoke of wanting Kamerun under German hands again. It was only dissolved when they wrote off the North Africa theater as a total lost which did not happen in TNO's timeline.

I can only assume the reason for this is that the german administration was already overstretched after getting all of eastern europe to the point they decided it's not worth to try and reestablish the colonial governments a continent away.

As for Iberia I have no idea. The entire concept of the state is utterly retarded now. No atlantropa, no seizing of the colonies, why would portugal and spain even unite if their situation is exaclty like otl. Moreover there is not a single reason for them to have broken with germany now.
Edit: I just realized that the entire triumvirate existing is retard now. No atlantropa no colony seizing why on earth are italy, iberia and turkey in a faction again? It used to make sense when germany fucked them over but now?

There is a guy on Greece, Georgios Grivas, who is treated as a collaborationist despite also fighting against the Axis, TV Tropes lists as a Historical Villain Upgrade. The only possible reasoning is "He fought against commies, so he must be a nazi"

Its kinda like Nikolai Averin (leader of Gorky) and Abu "Khan" being made into merciless raiders despite the 2 last two being just normal soldiers. At least, I think they used to.

Also, why tf I would want to learn about post colonial africa? Sure Mbutu "child eater" Bongo Bongo who ruled for 50 years and ruined his country is interesting

That Frenchie guy is retarded, If I wanted to learn proper African history in the 1960s I would play Cold War Iron Curtain not TNO where I would want to have fun with messing around with crazy alternate history.

Loving how badly they're getting ratio'd

Also if I wanted to learn about post colonial africa I would...read a book ? A lot of these muh realism enjoyers are just illiterate tards who want map games to spoonfeed them information about the world. They mask their laziness with maturity.

Obviously because he was a hardcore racist who led an apartheid state so of course he supports TND.

It looks like they literally just copy and paste post-colonial Africa as well. No creativity involved at all. May as well just make NuTNO a Cold War mod where the borders are the same except for Germany and Japan at this point. It's amazing how Thousand Week Reich is somehow both more barebones and boring than TNO but also has more to do.

Big if true.

Well, at least without the 3 Nazi regimes and 20 years of bombing, it makes sense that every single OTL african ruler is just there and the same as irl. Like, I think a dev said, in part to make people stop asking about a 14 year old Putin unifiying the soviets, that his parents either died or never met since, you know, the massive change in the european russia. But seemly, not a single stray bomb or population displacement kills or affect anyone in Africa.
