Anyone tried to compare these Reddit shenanigans to the Lincoln Brigade yet?
Yes, they were filthy Commies and naive dupes, but at least they picked up guns and fought. Something like 30% of them died in battle and from disease too, so this was no picnic. There's a picture I've seen of one of the leaders who was blinded. 'Course the Lincoln Brigade, Battalion, whatever, was organized as its own unit and supplied itself with weapons, uniforms, etc., something far beyond the capacity of the average Reeeeedditor, so maybe this isn't a fair comparison?
Scanning through this thread the comparison came to mind. And I can only conclude it seems to me even the Commies of today have degenerated from what they once were.

I hate America and the west but a lot of people on telegram are so contrarian they think that because they hate America and the west that means that Russia must be good because they are enemies of America (and israel to some extent, despite the fact that Putin works with Jews just as much as Americans do). The only reason they dont do the same for China is because they arent white, but some shill for them as well. It's an interesting phenomenon. I personally dislike all 3 superpowers (4 if you count Israel, but they and america are essentially the same)

Ukrainian officials say 80k people have entered the country since the conflict began, but they've been saying a lot of things. It's almost definitely much lower than that. Most of the verifiable ones seem to be Ukrainian men living abroad who are going home to fight, and a few foreigners with actual military experience. Even if some bugmen make it over and manage to sign up they won't be the types to make the news because war propaganda demands brave patriots and strong allies, not dialating disneybrained doughballs.
