You’ve got to wonder about the national militaries that these men have apparently served in, if they honestly expect not to face injury or death in a war situation.

They have gotten too used to be on an overwhelmingly superior side, that my fear is that Putin's plan to defeat NATO in case of a direct confrontation is not to match their quality or efficacy pound-for-pound, but rather to make Western troops just a tad uncomfortable enough (no WiFi for example) to make them second-guess any conflict with Russia.

As for giving up when they first got hit by a Russian missile, fuck communism and good thing that Franco won, but I gotta hand it to the International Brigades in Spain who at least stayed for well over a year and several actual battles with the fash before quitting without being faggots about it..

This was from earlier in his post history. Who tf calls themself Slavic rather than their actual ethnicity? He calls himself Czechoslovak elsewhere. Can't say I've ever heard someone refer to themself that way, since it is a nationality that no longer exists. He also claims to be part Irish, with a Ukrainian grandmother. Stepdad works for NYPD.

From what the right says, you just have to look at military recruitment ads, with the West going “Diversity is our strength” and what not, while China and Russia have videos of soldiers marching and fighting and heading out to give a vibe of “Only alpha males need apply”.

Anyone who's met a Ukrainian in person know that they see themselves as above EVERYONE else despite their long list of flaws. An alarming amount of Ukrainians seem to have Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, 99% are hardcore alcoholics, the place was ALWAYS a Great Depression-esque shithole only known for how their women sell themselves into sex slavery for green cards, and they're just weird-looking+weird in general. But they are still better than everyone else! Ukraine best! Ukrainians strong! Слава Україні!

None of this is an exaggeration. I've seen them treat even their neighbors like pets even without the high stakes of war. In a war, any nonUkrainian is very obviously going to be used as canon fodder. Maybe these redditors should get familiar with a people before deciding to risk their life for them instead of assuming everywhere is Canada. I thought learning about other cultures was something Sunday morning cartoons taught us to do.

I just find it hilarious to see the same news outlets, left-wing (and right-wing) figureheads, et cetera singing the praises of Ukraine after having run articles, written stories, and spoken on the Azov battalion, the fact that U.S. money is going to neo-Nazi militias, and the fascistic tendencies of Ukraine's government. I'm trying not to wear my tinfoil condom too tight, but god damn, the sudden switch was unnerving.
