There are a few infamous attention whores who go on /r9k/ because they want basement-dwelling autists masturbating to their pictures for some reason, but it's hard to say anything about the other "female" users there. It is a very good bet though that someone who claims to be a woman isn't, either because they're baiting or because they got off on pretending to be a woman.

My favorite thing about this is not the horrible conditions he lives in or the terrible things he does to himself. It's that some time five years ago, he puked a little baby upchuck on his toilet seat, and rather than take the literal 5 seconds to wipe up the vomit, he trained himself for five whole years to just hover over the toilet seat.

I've seen the same type of thread on other boards like /v/ and /pol/ many times ("wouldn't it be so much easier to be a gurl uwu") except usually disguised as something having to do with the board subject. Given the repetitiveness of the trap shitposting I wouldn't be surprised if it was always the same Discord cult trying to lure people in with pictures of anime traps.

I remember like a year or two ago there were a lot of threads on /r9k/ dedicated to a girl that tripped as Mystery.jpg and cried about being unattractive and almost everyone called her cute and called her out on being overly self deprecating. You're correct on the fact that they do raid /pol/, i believe they moved their efforts onto /r9k/ after recent events though. Supposedly they have like 10 fucking threads up of nothing but them shilling for HRT, there's a screencap of this shit circulating around 4chan and then i've also seen some of this in their server called "Reiko's Harem Reloaded", i don't have any relevant screencaps but i do have this for whatever it's worth.
