Yep, depending on what her egg donor was shooting up on it could have easily fucked her up. She could be a crack baby, in 1994 crack was the drug of choice, and I've heard of crack babies having such shit as severe ADHD. And also there's the possibility of fetal alcohol syndrome too since some hard drug users get drunk to "crash". Adopting a USA baby is always a crapshoot since the egg and sperm providers tend to be extremely fucked up and pass that on to their crotch dropping. There is lots of talk nowadays about substituting adoption for abortion, and while I'm not really a fan of abortion adoption has its own risks.

@Neutron Ejector: the only equivalent to britbong "sectioning" in the US is an involuntary 72 hour psych hold. In California, where it is called "5150", it has a REALLY HIGH bar to jump before the pigs drag you to the nuthouse. Usually you have to threaten somebody else and/or try to kill yourself. Just being a tard on the internet generally isn't enough, unless you threaten a politician's life or something. Few states have much in the way of long term inpatient psych care anymore, and the private care out there is limited by private insurance policies, usually around 7-10 days. Once their families get sick of them, crazies wind up on the streets, bouncing in and out of jail.
