We all know why. Because then upon the inevitable lower-than-expected turnout he'd have no one to blame than himself. This way he can place not only the onus of supporting him financially on his viewers but the success of his "efforts" (or lack thereof) as well.

What do you get when you get a guy with such a small ego that losing and raging hurts it, but is known for raging at games and is trying to capitalise on that because he's desperate for money? This stream. He'll only play Ryu because he knows him, did training mode first because he's 'not played in forever' so you had to go through that bull, refuses to play the new characters as he doesn't know them (even though that'd be the FUN of it) and thats STOOPID, thinks casuals are pointless, will only play ranked, is such a low rank that he's all getting scrubs and bodying them.

I wanna know what his idea of 'rage' is? I'm thinking its him going clown mode and his paypigs throwing hundreds at him. Because every game so far he's done stuff to avoid actually raging. Which makes it extremely boring. A rageathon where the streamer refuses to do things that'd get him angry. This is genuinely whats happening right now.

if he acknowledges patreon that might mean some people notice the 1-5 bucks funneled from it each month, he knows its a dead end and if he mentions it more people might cancel

Rest assured that he's fucking furious about things like the troll names in WoW. But because he's such a fucking pouty baby, he's "teaching the viewers a lesson" by making it as boring as possible so they won't be dumbfucks and pick the games like it again.

He still has Ninja Gaiden Black and Morrowind to go, so you're looking at more like 11 PM EDT when breaks and such are included.
 
For someone that supposedly dont care about if he wins or lose he sure bitches a lot as soon as he loses a match...
 
Seems to be a pattern tonight. " I seriously hate this game" ----AKA any game that requires actual coordination or skill.
This dude is getting salty that he has to play a game and is not able to sit there and sausage pose and stall for tips.
 
I turn away for 10 minutes and DSP starts ranting about how SF5 sucks because everything is safe and it's too easy for noobs to guess and win.

This despite the fact he was bodying people for the entire first hour.

Edit: DSP started his rant at 7:48, so he played SF4 for about 78 minutes.
 
So SFV was him trying to make it boring as possible since he didn't like the choice but the salt was too powerful, he couldn't help it, and the rage came through. Though that was a bad thing apparently? You're not meant to actually rage at a rageathon I guess? Only fake clown rage? Even though the audience enjoy it?

Predictions:
Ninja Gaiden - Clown mode activated
Morrowind - Spends the first hour in character creation, spends the next hour in the tutorial. Tries to make it as boring as possible as he didn't like the choice. Unless people give him a lot of money then he starts magically enjoying it and goes for "OH this would be great for a chill stream man!"
 
Rewatch those controller slam videos (currently streaming on Tevin's channel) to see some real and authentic rage instead of this milquetoast excuse he calls a "Rage a Thon"
 
god i really hope none of phils fans believed he actually didn't know about the scroll.
he first walks in the opposite direction of balmora, coincidentally "doesn't know" about the scroll of 'icarion" flight and just so happens to save before using the scroll
 
I finally made the 30 minute drive home from work, checked Tevin's stream, and DSP had already quit Morrowwind. I think he played it for exactly 60 minutes and then said that it was a dud.

No shit? You played the first hour of a 45 hour minimum game and dicked around the character creation most of the time. No shit it was a dud?

Edit: I think DSP might actually end up playing LESS than a normal day by the time we are done. I missed the start of WoW, but he played 90 minutes (CTR), 78 minutes (SFV), and 60 minutes (Morrowwind). How long did he play WoW for? I mean, he played it for 0 minutes to be real.

I have no idea, but if my ancient memory is correct, considering DSP tried to cover it up for at least a few days, it would easily be DEBUNKED!

I just realized, how much of this game is going to be opening cutscenes? Never played this game before.
 
I am personally shocked that he spent the first half an hour creating a character, then next half an hour slowly wandering around random places and slowly reading stuff in the tutorial and pretending to be lost and then spent the final hour actually playing the game where he completed the tutorial and one side quest. I never expected this of DSP, the guy who didn't want to play this game anyways.
