The ultra rich are usually shareholders. But there are still plenty of extremely well paid, high level positions. Like management and CEOs and stuff. And performance does matter for these people. Personally, I don't pay attention to the corporate world that much, but you do occasionally hear of CEOs being notoriously incompetent sometimes. Like Jack Dorsey fucking up Twitter.Yeah, but @Suicidal Emo Panda was talking about taxing the rich. The rich generally don't get paid ordinary wages. They are shareholders in the company.
And having a higher tax rate on a CEO doesn't seem like a huge demotivator in practice for these people.
