I thought his tugboat came from the fact that Virginia recognizes autism as a disability. That only follows if the tax rate is 100%.
Chris' tugboat comes from Bob's social security work credits.

Social Security is federal. But on top of that, you don't actually get disability welfare in the US by default. You have to work for it. Chris gets his because of Bob's work credits.I thought his tugboat came from the fact that Virginia recognizes autism as a disability.
How long does he have until those credits run out?Social Security is federal. But on top of that, you don't actually get disability welfare in the US by default. You have to work for it. Chris gets his because of Bob's work credits.
That's a good question. Based on the qualifications, they might end up floating him for life. But I can't read it carefully enough right now.How long does he have until those credits run out?
I think it's more that for the past nine years, Chris has been criticised basically every day. People constantly tell him that his comics are crap, he's an idiot, he's fat, he's not a woman, he'll be single forever. Every day a dozen new weens think they'll be the one to give him a dose of reality by tellin' it like it is (read: insulting him). And let's face it, even if he turned his life around tomorrow, he'll always be Chris and he'll always get trolled. I can kind of understand why, under those circumstances, he'd just tune it all out.Wow, so despite being told by people on numerous occasions that all his ideas, jokes, and verbal diarrhea are terrible, he still thinks people want to experience his autistic testimonials.
wow
I guess hundreds to thousands are hating on Chris, and he just ignores it because he is a beautiful trans-lesbian that can do no harm.
Chris tunes it out most of the time, he just attributes his Captain Obvious critics as "haters" and jealous of his newfound "womanhood".I think it's more that for the past nine years, Chris has been criticised basically every day. He fucking has a handicap placard because of it. Thankfully, he's banned pretty much everywhere he would use it.I thought his tugboat came from the fact that Virginia recognizes autism as a disability.
I think he's dimly aware of it, and it does bother him. But his way of dealing with it is to use mental gymnastics to re-attribute the feelings. If someone says something that makes him feel bad, it's because they're mean. The Hurtful Truth Level was a case in point. Chris was criticised in a very on-point, impossible to ignore fashion, and he was upset by it. So he invented this "Hurtful Truth Level" to shift the blame. He was upset because he'd been told what was wrong with him, but she shouldn't have done that because it made him feel bad. Therefore, she made him feel bad. So she was at fault. So he's just fine.Chris tunes it out most of the time, he just attributes his Captain Obvious critics as "haters" and jealous of his newfound "womanhood".
I would really like to know how Chris handles the truth that all of his weens and truth-tellers are right, he has to face it sometime.
The draw of more money is too powerful to demotivate people from wanting more unless taxes get really high. That thought of Chris is so wrong. I believe people should be rewarded for their efforts. The harder you work, the more benefits you would get. Taxing the rich would only demotivate people to climb up the ladder since it won't be so much rewarding. This pushes people towards having a lazy attitude; do nothing and get money, just like Chris wants.
If trump wins how will Chris act out his rage? It's not like there's a Trump equivalent of a gamestop he can vandalize.
If Hillary winsCalling it right now. The next post Chris makes will be about the election in some capacity.
What the trash heap is that rainbow shit on Sonichu's head...?
That only follows if the tax rate is 100%.

I was specifically addressing what @Suicidal Emo Panda said. They said that the harder you work, the more benefits you get. That is, working for a wage will always get you more money proportionally to how much you work. That still holds up regardless of the tax rate. (Unless it's 100%, of course.)It doesn't take a 100% tax rate to demotivate people. Suppose I have a million dollars to start a new business. There is a possibility that the company fails and I lose all the money, but suppose there is a chance that the company succeeds and I get $10 million. Now suppose there is a 90% tax rate. So instead of getting $10 million, I only get $1 million.
It's like tails you lose, heads you break even... I'm not playing that game.
SSI pays out way too little. He wouldn't be able to survive on it.There is a separate disability program called SSI which is not based on work history. If Chris didn't qualify for SSDI, he would qualify for that.
Others do, why can't Chris. This is one of those areas where Chris is given a false sense of entitlement.SSI pays out way too little. He wouldn't be able to survive on it.
I don't know, it's a pretty low payout given where he lives. I guess there's a way to make it work.Others do, why can't Chris. This is one of those areas where Chris is given a false sense of entitlement.

Additionally, I wouldn't regard investment as work, per se. It's more comparable to gambling.
(I mean, I'm not putting it down. It's admirable and there's societal value in it, but I think the motivations are different from ordinary wage-based work.)
