Chris you can’t tame a cat that wasn’t housebroken before you adopted it. Yeah you did okay with Pollo because he was an outside cat mostly and already kinda old but even he died. Sorbet got hit by a fucking car. The only reason Lucy is alive is because she’s old enough to adapt to this and maybe she’s actually got 9 lives. Hell maybe Scampers would still be around if you weren’t craving coffee at 2 AM. Hopefully Kitty found a way out.

I was going to argue that cat's can be tamed even after being adopted after kittenhood but then I checked your wording and I have to agree, Chris cannot do that. It would take effort. I suspect the #1 reason we don't hear about dogs piling up in there instead of cats is that the Chandlers were forced to extend effort to get dogs vaccinations or face punishment... but they can just let cats do whatever.
