Chris cannot enforce copyright over Sonichu because his work infringes on the rights of SEGA and Nintendo. Even if he claims "original characters" or stories (like Rosechu or the Sonichu lore), those are still built on top of infringing material, which is a shakey road to walk down.
Well, no. If I wrote a fanfiction (I took copyrighted characters and put them in a setting of my creation or I make them do/say things that they never did before) and publish it on my online blog or a fanfiction site, then someone takes everything I wrote and turns it into a book, maybe changing the characters' names but leaving everything else almost exactly the same, without asking me for permission... then I'm the one in the right because I can demonstrate they took my work and plagiarized it, I could own their asses in court. It doesn't matter if I originally took characters that weren't mine, that's a different case for their copyright owners to pursue it, if they ever want to (which they probably won't since what I made would most likely be considered fair use and a transformative work, thus protected from copyright claims)
maybe if Geno threw Chris a proverbial bone or two and let him voice a couple characters, Chris wouldn't have been such a flaggot. It just seemed all so low effort, and comes off like Geno's just trying to suck the last drops of milk out of the cow that is Chris. Even the Vivian Gee motion comics she made just to get under Chris' skin seemed to have more effort put into it than whatever Geno coughed up. I thought they were AI generated at first.
Good example, in that case Chris didn't have a leg to stand on because those were annotated with her own thoughts and reactions so they had a commentary/review/critique value.
I thought they were just pictures printed off-line, glued onto some cardboard cutouts, then superimposed and layered over each other to make the background and foreground.
I'm pretty sure her audiobook / motion comics / whatever you want to call them were just still photos being narrated over with the youtube annotations visible in the posted video.

Yeah, just got random ones. Rekieta’s didn’t have a signature and you could clearly tell Idubbz’ wasn’t made by Chris because it was much smaller.
