Containment Random Chris Updates

Just so you know, Fizzy was likely one of many other Pony's from G1 voiced by Nancy Cartwright. This another White Pony who got hit by the Smooze pretty bad was also unmistakably the voice of Bart Simpson as well.

Also FX from Fantastic Max.

Last nite Chris' Patreon dropped to $636. Today it dropped to $500. This follows the pattern of his numbers dropping 12%-15% on the first day of the month during the 4 or 5 months I've kept an eye on his Patreon. Still, it's the first time I've seen him hit $500 on the first of the month.
His Patreon charges people on the 1st of every month, so maybe some backers cancelled, or some cards are expired and thus cannot be charged.

No Chris switched it to take out money as soon as someone pledges, I believe. There was a post he made about it. I wouldn't be surprised if some people signed up for a month and then canceled after seeing what Chris is producing. Not a lot of people are happy with the way the "Sonichu" comic is going if the posts are here are any indication.

Eta to add relevant post from patreon

Lol he thinks writing "copyright" means he has a copyright on it

That and the ever famous "C in a circle ©" that he loved to state in his classic videos. He honestly thought it meant something on a non copyrightable character. I think the government just granted him his Sonichu red letter day just to get him to stop emailing them and filling up their mailbox and leave them alone. Funny thing is when Chris wants something, he won't stop till.he has it, but God forbid if someone wanted chris to do something for them he would read them the tranny riot act.

Yeah, I knew that part.

I think has more to do with people trolling him and other people suddenly running short on money and having to cut their budget somewhere. I can't see 6-7 people having expired credit cards every months in a pool of 25-40 people.

I'm just sorta wondering if the people who join in the middle of the month have to pay a full month's fee, a pro-rated fee, or they're charged on the next first. That would give a better number on how much he gets each month. And if people have to pay full price it'd lessen the odds of it being trolls.

Edit: ninja-ed by Gunslinger. It's most likely people short on cash at the end of the month and people who haven't gotten their promised goods from Chris.

I don't actually think they are an indication. I don't think many (if any) of Chris' patrons are on KF. Chris has a steady source of money and none of those people have spoken up on here. We haven't even gotten many "I got a sonichu comic, here are pics" posts.

I think most of Chris' patrons are people who read about him on ED or know your meme or some shit, and they're just saying "lol, chris chan has a patreon, I'm gonna give him a few bucks, he's so funny lol!", and then they leave it at that.

I don't think they're treating Chris' patreon as some white knuckle action that they're waiting for every month.

Chris does have a valid copyright on the Sonichu comics.

Did anyone ever think the Sonichu comic was entertaining per se? When you separate it from the mockery and commentary that made it entertaining to read about and/or a useful vector for trolling Chris, Sonichu is painfully boring and incoherent because it's just a tool for Chris to make concrete an imaginary utopia staffed by characters and stories that matter to nobody but him.

The audiobooks and the CWCki were the only way I could ever stand it and I have no doubt the vast majority of KF users are the same way.

Some of his patrons are on KF. I guess they don't say much, either because they don't find it post-worthy or because paying Chris is seen as a controversial move by some people here, but they sometimes mention it. One guy made a couple unboxing videos of Sonichu comics but I don't think he posted about those here.

Several of them have complained on Patreon about not receiving their goods or Chris ignoring their messages.

There was sonichuizcool. But otherwise, I don't know of anyone else who's enjoyed Sonichu in good faith. I've always thought it sucked.

I never sat down and read Sonichu myself, or even listened to the audiobooks. Maybe a few times, but in general, I learned about Sonichu only by looking shit up on the cwcki for arguments.

I was thinking of the unboxing video guy, yeah. He's on KF? Or does he just have an account that he lurks with?

I know that's happened before. But that's more of specific person(s) waiting for a specific purchase they made. I'm talking about the people who are subscribed to Chris regularly. I think people who subscribe to Chris' patreon, but aren't waiting for specific products, aren't counting down the seconds until the pages get dropped every month.

I think they see it more as putting a few bucks in a bum's cup on the sidewalk.

I don't have a problem with Chris making money from his comic books. We've been telling him to get a job for years and now that he's got his own small business creating products that people want to buy people are complaining about it.

But I do think that his patreon subscribers shouldn't let him get away with whatever he wants. If he sends out comics three months late and constantly delays work whenever he feels like it, then he should feel some consequences like people dropping their pledges until he shapes up. If he decides to delay a comic book another month to play sanic instead then his patreon for that month should be $0. Hold him to the same standards you hold anyone else to.

Well hopefully Chris doesn't start pestering her, she's too old for this shit!

Chris does have a valid copyright on the Sonichu comics.
Even if he doesn't quite know how to use it properly (the way people normally use "TM" for their creations or the "circle R" instead).

I suppose much like what the regular denizens of Charlottesville might do to Chris, it's best to ignore these as wel!

I'm not sure if there are other people who made unboxing videos. The guy I mentioned has an account here from 2014 and sometimes posts, and made his videos a few months ago. I had asked him some questions via PM, and he replied that the books don't seem to have a publisher name and that @DStecks was credited in Sonichu 11 - he also gave me a picture of it for the wiki. Which I think is kinda funny, because DStecks had some delusion about wanting to executive produce Sonichu, but it had been Waterman who initially bankrolled Sonichu in 2015 and so he got top billing in the credits.

His Patreon stats say that 13 are subscribed to the $10 tier (which just grants them access to the pages), and 19 are subscribed to more expensive tiers which promise books. I think most of his patrons sought out the higher tiers hoping to get a souvenir from CWC, or else most would just be donating at the $10 level or giving $1 or so.

...Hold him to the same standards you hold anyone else to.
Chris has never in his life been held to the same standards as everybody else, except maybe Wendy's and we know how that turned out. The church kinda tried it too but he just doesn't get why he shouldn't wear a unicorn horn and a short skirt to church and hog the conversation.

He really has no standards at all.

To be quite frank, the standards I hold everyone else is to ultimately disappoint me in the long run. Chris is up to par with that expectation.

Now if you are saying "Hold Chris to the level of standard of a professional artist, provider of goods, etc." Please remember that Chris legitimately does have mental issues that interferes with his life. It's not an excuse, however it is something to be added towards "Caveat Emptor". Now Chris certainly is lazy, and procrastinates for the sake of being lazy scum; however there are underlying issues that make him less terrible than regular Patreon fraudsters. You can't be mad at Chris for failing to deliver because of his mental issues, however you can be angry at Chris for saying "I have the 'tism" when he is actually being lazy.

Essentially, you can't hold Chris to the same standards as a regular merchant, because he is a merchant with a penchant for mental illness; however this means Chris shouldn't be taken seriously in the first place as a regular merchant because of this. Caveat Emptor, don't expect Chris to do much other than stress sigh, soil himself, and say "I"M WORKING ON IT."

Yeah, no. Chris is retarded for his own convenience when it comes to stuff like this.

Yeah, no. Chris is exceptional for his own convenience when it comes to stuff like this.
Aye, and he does need to be chastized in those moments; however remember that is a very exceptional person regardless of their Ego.

Chris is that fine line between "Autism" and "Egotistical Procrastinator/Fraudster." which infuriates persons who have Autism because Chris often gets the spotlight attention of "This is what Autism is."
And I completely understand that, because with or without the Autism, Chris, sadly, is not a good, kind, caring, or a forgiving person. He is the exact kind of personality archetype to willingly use "Mental Illness as excuse," which a lot of cows do for sympathy points/exclusions from consequences. However, Chris [as evidenced through the past five years] is someone who has TRUE AND HONEST mental illnesses that interfere with his perceptions, his mind process, and his daily life. ; of which stems much farther than regular autism.

I often try to observe Chris as a psychologist would a patient; what I see is "A very ill man, who at his core isn't that great of a person; but is very ill and needs treatment regardless of his personality."

I offer this metaphor, "A known thief in town contracts a plague and goes to the doctor and says "I'm sick doc, let me in." The doctor opens the door and lets him in. "Why'd you let me in doc, you know I'm a thief." "Because you need help, and you were going to steal regardless of your health or not, now please give me back my watch." The thief chuckled meekly, while pocketing the wallet he snagged off of the doctor.

The point of that story that some people are bad people, no matter what's wrong with them; however we can't ignore when something is wrong with them, even if they will take advantage of you if noticing this.

If you buy from or pay Chris for services, just know there will be disappointment because of a combination of
Severe Mental Illness+Procrastination+Bad Person

I think it speaks volumes that even when held up to the standards of an autistic person he STILL fails. Like jesus christ and crackers how the hell do you even do that?
